The best airport. Flying 🛫 often, kind staff, good service. They have business lounge as well.
Bohot accha laga.
Staff too kind to russians and we are happy to be friends for India
Security working as eagles and also trying to help with any problem.🦅 💪🏾

Ponomarenko Irina.
A large comfortable airport. There are quite a lot of reviews and video reviews. Intuitively, everything is clear. Most importantly, if you are flying to India for the first time, be sure to print out an electronic visa!!! Upon arrival, you can go through biometrics yourself and get a Wi-Fi password, everything is according to your passport and intuitive. Security is monitored, everyone is checked, everything is checked at all stages. Therefore, if there is a connecting flight, take some time to spare.
Gazwan Airport, named after former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, is the busiest airport in India in terms of takeoffs and landings, as well as the second busiest airport in India.
Very clean, the restrooms look great. There is fast food - the prices are adequate! The departure zones are very comfortable and, most importantly, there are comfortable sun beds - it is very important if fatigue knocks you down!
It's a great airport. Unlike Rome or Amsterdam, everything is clear, understandable and simple here. Don't get lost, that's for sure. Don't expect a "wow" from
duty free, no. As there are no pretentious restaurants. But to eat - do not pass by the stairs to the 2nd floor in the restaurant area, it is right after duty free, on the left side. You definitely won't stay hungry. In general, it is very good and understandable, you do not need to take a train to your terminal. Yes, the "sleeve" to Aeroflot is not the closest, but it is very comfortable, reserve 10-12 minutes on foot for this.
A modern and generally convenient international airport, if you know all the nuances of organizing air travel in India. Admission is by ticket only, and the ticket must be in English (the guard is digging in). Exit from the terminal is performed once and for all, they will not be allowed back under any circumstances. It is worth remembering about the legendary queues – at the height of the season, it happens that even four or five hours are not enough to pass all the controls (the inspection is especially thorough, they are forced to lay out all the wires from the bags). Transfer from an Aeroflot flight is performed at your own risk – you need to sit in a special area for about an hour (or longer) while waiting for all bureaucratic procedures to be carried out.
At the same time, after passing through all the procedures, this is a very convenient airport, which has shops for every taste (although the book and magazine store was closed in early 2025), and a food court with a selection of local food and foreign chain eateries, souvenir shops, and vending machines with water for 10 rupees. The Internet is fast, but you need to register either with an Indian SIM card or with your passport in a special terminal. It is worth remembering that you can walk for 20 minutes to the gate and calculate the time accordingly.
Convenient, large-scale, and beautiful.
There can be simply indescribable queues at registration and inspection, so you definitely need a reserve of time. We flew to it twice and took a taxi both times - for three it turned out to be a little more expensive than the subway. They check the ticket printout at the entrance - they won't let you in without it. The trouble with food courts and cafes is that it's small and dirty, it's better to abstain.
About Terminal 3 (international+domestic)
The most important thing to know is to enter with a passport and ticket. If there is no ticket, do not enter. I have a ticket - I entered, but I can't get out!
There is only one food kiosk in the airport common room. Several devices with soda and water for 10 rupees. There is only one souvenir shop. There are many places where you can recharge. Two exchange offices. Previously, the kiosk issued a coupon for the Internet, in November 24, I did not find this device.
You need to put everything out for inspection! Everything except the ticket. The ticket must be with you.
Boarding at the terminal itself is much easier. Lots of shops and cafes. But there is no exchanger. Life hack - buy something for dollars, the change will be given in rupees! But according to Indian law, it is forbidden to export currency from the country. As well as importing.
There is a large airport, you can get a Wi-Fi at the information desk or by passport. There is an independent check-in for the flight and the opportunity to check in your luggage yourself, without standing in line at the check-in counters. Convenient transfer to Terminal 3 of domestic airlines without leaving the city. The domestic airline terminal is as big as the international one.
On the downside, they are sometimes sent to other counters and there are long queues for registration. They carefully inspect the luggage. I flew from Delhi to Bangalore on 22.02.25, and they searched me very carefully. There was a flight delay of 2 hours for unknown reasons (Air India airline). And we were already flying from Delhi to Moscow, the inspection was quick and without problems.
In general, even upon arrival in Delhi from Moscow, the passport control process was quite fast, not like before, 2.5-3 hours in a queue. Prices in airport stores have increased and some good candy shops have disappeared. Overall, it's a good airport, clean and comfortable.
The airport in New Delhi is one of the largest airports in the world. very good staff delivers luggage to the pick-up point very quickly and carefully so as not to damage your suitcases. of the cons, if you are flying away and you need a stroller, you must pay $ 18 for a stroller + escort
Beautiful, majestic, mysterious! Otherwise, it is civilized, culturally, modern. The cuisine is moderate, without frills and sharpness! Overall, I liked it very much. Who has not been, will be!
Hello, traveler!
Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport: It glitters, but it does not warm.
The first meeting:
You get here and immediately feel the contrast: somewhere outside the door is hot, dusty Delhi, but here it is fresh, clean and even a little pretentious. Terminal 3 is like a luxury version of Indian cuisine: lots of spices, but some didn't go.
Infrastructure:
There are so many signs here that it seems possible to conduct a quest called "Find your flight". But the whole route is decorated with giant statues and art objects that seem to say: "Yes, we know that you are tired, but look at our culture!"
Queues and control:
Passport control is a marathon where every third person waits for the finish line with hope. The security area? Almost like the airport filter from Harry Potter — not everyone will pass the first time.
Comfort and food:
There are cafes, but the prices are such that you start thinking about fasting. The recreation area... Well, if sitting on iron chairs is a rest, then thank you.
Conclusion:
Everything seems to be there, but not everything pleases. If you need an airport for photos and content, go here. If it's for comfort, get ready for the trials. But you arrive in Delhi with the feeling that you have already passed halfway to sacred enlightenment.
Excellent, modern, large airport. I was in terminal 3. There are enough places where you can sit and wait for the flight. There is also a place to charge your phone or other equipment. There are also escalator tracks and electric cars for the convenience of movement, as well as long distances. Everything is fine. I wish you prosperity, and to return there more than once.
It is difficult to imagine a more disgusting airport, at least among the airports of the capitals of the world.
1. Unimaginable queues (arrive 4 hours in advance for departure, and upon arrival you will also encounter huge queues caused by the slowness and laziness of customs officers; there are often not enough forms to fill out (and no one will tell you where to look for them)
2. Disorganization of all processes, especially inspection
3. Employees shamelessly ask about the nature of any rashes on the body, whether it's a harmless allergy, at least they don't touch it.
4. Lighters (any kind) are imported without problems, but on departure they will take everything away from you (and zippo with an electronic unit (without fuel) will take it for themselves, of course), although for some reason the staff did not notice a cheap disposable lighter (apparently, they have one themselves)
5. E-cigarettes are easily imported, they are taken away on departure
6. The security officers are unceremoniously rummaging through things, and without obvious principle and logic (they seem to be simply incompetent), sometimes they are interested in plastic combs, they seem to see such a curiosity for the first time
All this despite the fact that on the streets of Delhi, only a lazy person will not offer you to buy hashish or marijuana. Of course, this is a lesser evil than vaping
The practice regarding smoking accessories is completely contrary to the world. Moreover, the whole absurdity lies in the fact that it is possible to import, but to export 🤣
A friendly country called
It is a very large and quite comfortable airport. The international departure area is very large, there is a lot of space for waiting for the flight. There is a food court, there are special sun beds where you can comfortably lie down. And there is even a yoga area equipped with mats. The only inconvenience is at the entrance to the airport. You can get to the airport only after checking your tickets and passport, and this check on international flights is done manually, there is often a queue at the airport entrance
Oh, this is a separate chapter in my travel book, people sleep on the floor and there is so much smog that there is nothing to breathe, the toilets smell, although they try to clean and the cleaner is right in the bathroom, but the seats are not comfortable, everything is loose, the food is disgusting, only sandwiches and empty tea with water, and that's just in one place, I spent 22 hours there and it was one of my worst experiences. They didn't want to provide the plane!!!They just delayed the flight and that's it. And what was the true reason they did not say, the whole group had to demand a special board.
There are posters everywhere: Delhi is the best airport. I don't know, who is he the best among? I would not give a top grade. Claims, not even to the airport itself - there are many things like that in India: as if everything is fine, but somewhere they fall short.
For example, a cafe at the boarding gates without tables. And in Istanbul - in the same place - there are tables.
There is a lot of bureaucracy, Officials are unhurried. For example, it will take 10 minutes to change the currency (which is not worth doing at the airport - the exchange rate is bad). While the official slowly enters the data into the computer, scans the passport, etc. - you will not wait!
A large modern airport. There is a lot of space, there is no pandemonium, although there are a lot of people. Everything is well done (except for checking the ticket at the entrance to the building).
During the inspection, they are forced to lay out everything, up to charging cables and all electronics, but at the same time there is no crush and mess, as in Sheremetyevo – empty pallets in abundance, the flows of people are competently distributed and organized.
After passing through customs, the Duty free zone. There are a lot of shops, but the choice is so-so, there is nothing much to buy.
Interestingly, the Indians go to boarding with hand luggage of all sizes, up to hockey trunks and suitcases weighing half the owner. No one checks the size and weight of hand luggage during check-in and inspection.
At each gate, the waiting room is fenced off from the corridor, and there are a large number of seats. It wouldn't be India if everything was done humanly - before boarding, all passengers are forced to leave the waiting room, creating a crush and misunderstanding, and then start again, but at the same time checking the boarding gate. Before entering the aircraft, the boarding gate is checked three (!) times at a distance of less than 100 m.
I read the reviews about the airport in advance, and they write to negative reviews that they want to contact me and find out about the negative experience, but nothing changes. We were flying through this airport in transit, we got a visa because they don't have a transit zone, and as a result, no one was interested in the visa. We were rechecked 100 times, and the tickets were rechecked by 3 people 10 meters away from the plane before the flight. Costa coffee accepts only cash and gives change in rupees. One of the advantages is wifi
A comfortable, Indian-style elegant airport in Delhi - even with lounge chairs near the gates. I really love this airport: there is an excellent food court in the departure area, where I especially want to mention domino's pizza (they put a lot of vegetables with traditional Indian generosity). There are good cafes with traditional South Indian cuisine in the arrival area (you can eat great dos immediately upon arrival).
If you need to take a taxi, you need to order immediately at the exit at special ticket offices. In every sense, a good hospitable airport. It is convenient to relax here both after arrival and before departure. It is only necessary to take into account that the entrance to the airport is only by tickets (it is best to have a printed ticket with you). Otherwise, there were no special problems with passing through all the stages of registration for the flight. The number of people depends on the season, time of day and personal luck. There are queues for inspection, but everything is within acceptable limits - as everywhere else.
Huge airport, clean, spacious.
There is a dutik and a food court. There are cookie machines everywhere)) and with water - the price tag is like in the city, some accept cash, even a pretty shabby one)
Nice modern Indian-style airport. Registration of foreigners using biometrics. Convenient metro directly from the airport. Paying for the subway in cash for Russians
A comfortable airport, there is a place to eat and relax, although I used the Aeroflot bonus, so it was super! Aeroflot at this airport presents a magnificent buffet of different countries, not only India, you can comfortably sit on the sofas and charge your phones.
a huge and convenient airport, a lot of attentive staff and a well-established system! I liked it more than most other foreign airports
the disadvantage is that due to the size of the territory it is difficult to navigate where to go, as well as problems with parking and taxis
I like the airport as a whole, there's nothing outstanding, but there's nothing bad either. We always go through security and border control quickly. There are racks with SIM cards and currency exchange at the exit. To order a taxi, we recommend using prepaid taxi services - the taxi registration booth is located immediately after leaving the arrivals area on the street.
The airport is good, everything is clear, but if it were not for the garbage, especially near the building itself and the calm unhurried service of the Indian staff, one could say that everything is fine.
Great airport! The clean zone of domestic airlines was particularly pleased: a wonderful and fairly inexpensive (cheaper than on international lines) food court with an excellent selection of cuisines of the world; many boutiques with very attractive prices for branded and high-quality goods.
A huge airport, five times bigger than Domodedovo.
There are armed guards everywhere on the ground floor, a number of fast food cafes, there are a couple of hotels with cozy mini rooms (5 thousand rubles for 6 hours of sleep is expensive, but sometimes priceless). The scoreboard on the ground floor shows only the arrival schedule. At least that's what it seemed to me. San nodes are clean everywhere, do not find fault. The second floor of the airport, where flight check-in and checks take place, is launched only 6 hours before departure. There is no way to sleep there anymore. There are a lot of people, even the shops are sometimes all occupied. There is one mini tent with coffee and sandwiches on the entire floor, but there is not much queue. There are no exchangers on the second floor. There is free Wi-Fi, the password to which you get from a special vending machine.
The check is thorough, allocate more time for it. After passing into the departure area, there are comfortable lounge chairs at the end of the hall, you can relax royally with a view of the planes to relax or sleep for a couple of hours before departure.
People get there to a lesser extent.
A new modern airport . The spirit of India is felt. The only thing is that there is only 1 cafe on the ground floor, it turns out that if you no longer go to the departure area, then there is nowhere to eat.
Attention! Print out or have your ticket or itinerary receipt available somewhere, otherwise they will stupidly not let you into the airport for check-in and baggage check-in! It is written everywhere (11.2024) that this is the best airport, but this is not true: everything is organized as crookedly as possible and you will stand absolutely everywhere in wild queues, whether on the fly or on arrival. It looks especially stupid that all the gates in the international part are fenced off and when boarding begins, you are kicked out of the perimeter, so that you can watch again and tear off the ticket stub. The most unfriendly airport
A large hall, everything is moving as everywhere, very beautiful statues of elephants decorate the space! But there is nowhere to eat, there is no VIP lounge. So it is advisable to fly away faster! And the people are very friendly and hospitable!!!
The airport is remembered for its convenience, everything is taken into account. The country is not one of the richest, but this airport is impressive. Their statues, their sizes . It's ambiguous, I'll get it again))
Quite a modern airport, it has changed a lot for the better over the past 30 years, the airport and airline staff, attentive to foreign passengers, will provide maximum assistance. When transferring, set extra time for the passage of a multi-level survey/inspection/inspection/inspection of security services. Apparently, the topic is relevant. Make travel documents in several copies (visa, itinerary receipt, boarding pass, etc.). It is forbidden to take photos in many places - there are inscriptions.
It is better to arrive strongly in advance. Very slow security checks at the entrance to the airport and exit to the gates. Plus, there are very few cafes for such a large airport. As a result, there are a lot of people in all the cafes.
A comfortable clean airport. You can have a cheap snack. The Old Monk duty free rum is 1400 rupees. There are smoking rooms in the departure and arrival areas. Very thorough screening on both domestic and international flights
Super duty free. Not in terms of alcohol, although there is one. There are a lot of different branded stores and the prices are very cheap, compared to other airports.
There are a lot of people, queues everywhere, at the entrance, during registration, during inspection. The staff is not very professional at check-in, there is a lot of fuss.
Such a bustling and noisy railway station of the late Soviet period. One of the few places where there are smoking rooms in the arrivals area. Otherwise, nothing remarkable.
The navigation is clear. We didn't wait for the luggage for a long time, everything was done promptly. There were no problems at passport control. WiFi is free, you can get a login / password through terminals or an information center.
