An inconspicuous restaurant from the street, they thought, some kind of khinkalnaya. There was a nice restaurant inside, with national decorations and national music.
Live music is playing for as long as you understand in the evening.
The waiters, like in all old restaurants in Armenia, are adult men, very polite, and they hardly speak Russian.
Very tasty food. The feed is lightning fast. Homemade compote like grandma's. Fresh summer salad. Borscht is also very tasty and fresh.
The prices are just as reasonable as possible, given that the restaurant is located near the center and the Italian Embassy)

It was one of the first cafes that we visited. I came to Armenia for the first time (2017) After that there were many visits, but I couldn't go in. And after 5 years of "separation" from Armenia in 2024, we decided to remember those wonderful feelings. But we were disappointed. We ordered 4 dishes (mushroom soup, achar (spelt) with mushrooms, beef heart kebab and branded dari pandok) The soup is made of champignons, it is difficult to spoil, as well as the spelt with it. The kebab was over-dried to coals at the edges. The "signature" dish was also with beef. Despite the fact that it is stewed, it is also like a gum. The service is "on and off." With two tables occupied (total) It was a disappointment for us. Three stars only for the past.

A very nice place. We lived nearby and went here every day for lunch and dinner. The prices are reasonable, the food is delicious, the portions are normal. Nice staff. After visiting Lavash, we took a more responsible approach to choosing a restaurant where you can eat delicious food. The hotel had such a hearty breakfast that we had enough of it for a long time. But after walking through the temples above Lake Sevan, being at the flea market, we were terribly tired and terribly hungry. There were cafes in the market, but we wanted to sit in an atmospheric place. Where you could have a delicious meal and enjoy your vacation. We walked down the street at random, Went into some kind of basement of Iranian cuisine (We thought pilaf.. all business ...), but they came in and immediately jumped back out. Empty, naked and bored, someone from the staff is watching TV. And this means that the food will already be from non-fresh products. They are fresh produce wherever there is movement.
Well, we went on until I saw a stand with a shirt with some funny inscription in Russian.
We went down and realized that we had come to exactly the place we had dreamed of. Silence, vintage furniture, vaults. There weren't many people either, but they were there and they were eating. The waiter immediately came up to us and politely said that they would only be able to feed us if we finished in an hour, since they would have a closed banquet in an hour.
This suited us and we were immediately escorted to a table, seated, shown where to wash our hands, and brought menus and utensils.
I ordered kharcho soup for myself, my wife ordered khinkali and we ordered shish kebab for two. I asked the waiter which one he would recommend.
- Beef. From a clipping.
- Do you need sauce for it?
- No! Why the sauce? The kebab is already juicy.
They asked about something from the Armenian cuisine. We were recommended some kind of shish kebab from giblets in the gut.
The portions are huge. Sorry, we ordered wine. Glasses of wine were immediately brought to us, as well as glasses and a jug of homemade compote - a compliment from the restaurant for agreeing to eat quickly.
The portions are huge. Soup... firstly, it was very tasty, secondly there was a lot of it, and thirdly, there was so much meat that you could eat only this soup.
When we had eaten (my wife khinkali, and I soup), they brought a barbecue. As it should be with greens. I must have been a cat in a previous life: I wanted to purr with pleasure while chewing juicy pieces of meat.
Do you remember "The Master and Margarita", the episode where meat was fried on a sword?
We haven't been here in the evening and we don't know anything about music, takeaway food and so on, but we know that the food here is delicious!

Our waiter filled our order with a phenomenal memory.
The main dishes were not taken, mainly salads, snacks and soup. The kharcho is great, the dolma in the grape leaves was not very good.

We went to this institution in October 2019. And now I have arrived, we decided to check if it is in place. It turned out to be in place and because they ate there earlier, they decided to go in. At two o'clock in the afternoon we were alone in the hall. We ordered a beef and lamb kebab and some other small things. They brought kebabs, everything seems to be fine, we eat, and then I break off a piece of beef, having already eaten half of it, put it in my mouth and feel the taste of raw beef. Next, I begin to look at the remaining kebab, and there it is clearly visible that it is very pink and even the fat fibers stretch, beeeee. Of course, they did not finish eating. It feels so-so, but I don't want to sort things out in another country, so we paid the bill, but told the waitress that the meat was raw. She said she would tell the cook and that was it. No compliment, no exclusion of a bad dish from the receipt.

To go around a kilometer for sure. Disgusting ill-mannered employees. We traveled all over Armenia and just didn't expect this, we just couldn't believe that such a thing was possible in this wonderful country.
They came very hungry with their family, they clarified whether there would be food at the announced time, they said that for sure. As a result, instead of 15 minutes, after three reminders, an hour later they asked for an invoice and removed everything that was not brought from the invoice. Instead of the bill, they took out meat and such types as "here, eat, we will not remove anything from the bill." As a result, it turned out to be our fault that they made us wait for more than an hour. They refused to solve the issue. Then I told them that either they take away everything that they didn't bring from the bill or we just leave and only after that they took out the bill. The last evening in Yerevan and the mood of the whole family is spoiled.
