Good afternoon! I just returned from a vacation in Cuba yesterday. We have been vacationing since the end of June 2024. I was there for the first time, although I have long wanted to visit. We chose a hotel at a reasonable price and not bad reviews. I'll tell you about my impressions. To begin with, the hotel is mainly occupied by Cubans. They come in families, 15 people for two or three days. They leave, immediately others come to their places, just like that: rich and very noisy. They are called the new Cubans, as the new Russians used to be. They are, as they say, having a good time: eating, drinking, having fun, etc. It is a four-hour drive from the airport. After a 14-hour flight, plus 4 hours by bus - to be honest, it's very tiring. Especially with children. A plane from Russia flies to Cuba twice a month. We were there for 13 days. There were not many Russians. The child is alone. Animators work with young children for 1 hour in the evening, all in Spanish. Then with adults, not big contests involving 3-4 people. Also in Spanish or English. Nobody knows Russian. During the day, there are animators by the pool. they try to entertain those who are there. And there are mostly Cubans there. Rare guests are Canadians. Flags are hung in their honor and greeted as the most honored guests. They arrange a delicious welcome lunch and dinner. They sit in the restaurant like a VIP. They pay generous tips. The hotel itself is a small two-storey bungalow-type houses. They are quite spacious, we can say two-room. The cleaner cleans and changes towels only for tips or gifts. If that's not the case, then he'll just make the bed. In my opinion, it would be better to wipe the floor instead of cleaning the bed. I just don't like it when strangers are poking around. A beach towel is given out once upon arrival and never changed, as well as bed linen. It is not accepted in Cuba or specifically in this hotel. There are no kettles or boilers either, as well as tea itself throughout Cuba. If you like to drink tea or coffee in the room, take everything with you for a tea party. It is impossible to buy anything here. There is not a single store. And if you go on an excursion to the nearest town of Camaguey (2 hours drive), there is nothing there either. A very poor city. There are almost no souvenirs. There is absolutely nothing to see in this city. It was the worst tour of my life. It's a pity to lose a beach day, paid meals and money thrown away for the tour itself. The wealth of this hotel is the beautiful grounds. The ocean is close, warm and endless with white sand and a huge amount of algae. You can swim in a small patch of the ocean, where there are no algae. That's where everyone wants to go. The beach is mostly deserted. There are a lot of mosquitoes and flies. Flies are everywhere. They sit on all the products in the restaurant. There is no fight against them. The imported funds do not help much. But take them, otherwise the mosquitoes will bite completely. Crabs from tiny to huge are crawling all over the territory. There are millions of them there. There are also a lot of lizards crawling into the rooms or right on the table in the restaurant. Of the excursions, I recommend only a boat trip. She's the most interesting. We took three (Trinidad, Camaguey (7 hours drive to it, two-day trip), sea). They paid almost 50 thousand per person in translation into the Russian ruble. We took it from the hotel guide, I forgot my name, it seems Vladislav. She came once, a rude, not very pleasant person, quickly told me how much it cost, did not give time to think about it, quickly collected money, converted dollars into euros at her own rate 109 rubles 1 euro, and rushed off without saying goodbye. She knows how to quickly promote the tourists who have arrived. That's what he says, those who don't have money don't go to Sheremetyevo, and even more so here. Before taking a ticket from her, read a few reviews and count your own money yourself. And my advice is, just enjoy your vacation on the ocean and take one boat trip to an uninhabited island with the purest clear water and beautiful nature. Super! The food in the restaurant is normal. You won't be hungry. The Cuban staff is friendly, smiling, trying to please. But there is always a feeling that they need to be paid. It doesn't matter how much, but it's necessary. That's the way they do it. Therefore, take a few $1 bills. There will be a desire, reward. You and they will be satisfied. During the excursions, everyone bought Legendario rum for $15 and $20. At the airport, in Duty-free, you could buy the one for 20 without any problems, carrying across the border and just carrying heavy things. Take as much as you want. They have the same price as in the USSR everywhere to this day. Did I recommend this hotel to my friends? Probably not, rather than yes. It's too far from the airport. It's not worth it. Especially with children. Has she returned to Cuba yet? Maybe, but to another place in 5 years. The advantages of this particular hotel are: beautiful nature, no beggars, the beach is almost deserted, a lot of sun beds, warm water, shallow (for non-swimmers), good rooms, not bad food. The main disadvantages: far away, the ocean is covered in algae, they are not cleaned (in water), the pool is closed at 18 o'clock, bed linen and beach towels are not changed, things disappear from the rooms, on the beach, by the pool. There's nowhere to go in the evening. There is nothing to watch on TV, there are no Russian channels, no shops. The nearest mini-shop is not far from the hotel, there is only water. In 15 minutes, in the terrible heat, you can walk to the neighboring hotel, there are several small shops where you can buy coffee, cigars, a hat, a magnet, and a few other little things. The choice is minimal. But in general, I am happy with my vacation. I looked at Cuba, its nature and the ocean. To rest is not to work!

I would like to share my impressions about this hotel. We visited recently, the place leaves much to be desired. The guide we were given did not help us in any way with questions and problems, but only imposed the most expensive excursions. Two things were missing from the room, they informed her about the loss, after which no help was forthcoming. They also do not bring towels after washing, and before leaving they bill for allegedly stolen items. Not only does no one figure it out, but they all take part in this scam, and in response we hear that if we don't pay, the police will be called. There are huge problems with food, poor choice, there are not even the most familiar vegetables. Water, after which many people had stomach aches, is added to almost everything. Entertainment: it would seem that the easiest way to coolly present a hotel and entertain guests, but no. The program is provided only for Cubans themselves, all song contests and so on. Of the advantages, only the staff, there are still good and smiling people. In general, they are polite and friendly to the guests. I think the hotel should still develop and develop.

Selling excursions to tourists, he talks about the dollar-euro / 1:1.15 cross-rate, which he puts in his pocket. let's say the tour costs $ 65 per person, 130 for two, she counts according to her cross-rate and gets 150 and demands to pay them, and writes out a receipt for 130! Don't see each other for a divorce! Pay only the amount indicated on the receipt!! We managed to pay the $130 indicated in the receipt without any problems!
