I'm thrilled! The first vacation in the Maldives is a dream come true! I have been working in the field of tourism for 15 years and did not dare to visit this destination! The moment has come When the soul has matured :)) and now everything has happened! The hotel has met all expectations! Minus do not book beach villas there is a lot of noise from the plane on the transfer and they are in the shade. Only booking Votar villas is a fairy tale. All inclusive good food +4 little seafood. Alcohol is not delicious Beer is excellent wine is a rare poison from the boxes :))
It's a wonderful place. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets. It's been eight days. These days will remain in my memory for a long time. The staff, food, room service are all just fine. There is a little bit of entertainment in the evenings, but this is if you still have strength after a busy day. They take you to the corals twice a day for snorkeling, to three different places. Fins and a mask are provided free of charge upon arrival. For a fee, you can swim with sharks and swim on live corals where there are all kinds of wildlife of these places. Sometimes it seemed that this was not our planet, but some other one.)))
This was my first trip to the Maldives, and I want to say that this is really the place where I want to return again.
The choice of the hotel was not easy, but we chose this option, as it attracted us with its infrastructure and high rating.
1. Territory
- The territory of the hotel is small, but very beautiful. The hotel consists of two islands (the second island is the Platinum Bungalow, accessible only to guests of these villas).
- The only thing I didn't pay attention to when choosing was the abundance of algae in the ocean. Because of this, it was not very comfortable to swim. However, a boat runs to the reefs every day: from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. — to the nearest reef, and from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. — to a more remote one.
- Do not forget about the tides. From the side of the beach villas, the water can go far away at low tide, so keep this in mind when planning your vacation.
2. Room stock
- We stayed at the Sunset Water Bungalow water Villa. The choice was made in favor of sunsets, which can be observed directly from the veranda, and your own entry into the ocean (I advise you to take coral slippers with you).
- The room was spacious and clean. Drinks were replenished daily at the bar: 2 cans of Cola, 2 sodas, 2 tonics, 2 sprites, 2 forfeits and 4 cans of beer (for guests with the All Inclusive system). For those who chose the Premium All Inclusive package, chips and miniature bottles of alcohol were additionally offered.
- The room was cleaned daily, and the cleaning service was very polite.
- Although January is considered a holiday season, we have had to deal with heavy rains several times this year. However, the villa proved to be wind-resistant, which was a nice bonus.
3. Food and drinks
- The hotel liked that each room has its own table in the restaurant. This eliminates the need to look for an empty seat every time.
- The cuisine is diverse: European, Asian, Indian. It's very decent for a hotel of this level.
- The waiters were attentive and remembered the preferences of the guests, which pleasantly surprised me.
- However, there were few fruits and seafood.
- The bar offered a standard set of drinks, but for guests with Premium All Inclusive the range was much wider, including coffee from the coffee machine. Snacks can be ordered at the main bar when the main restaurant is closed.
4. Entertainment
- Of course, there is not as much entertainment on the island as in Turkey, but I recommend betting on crab racing and watching an open-air movie.
- Fins, masks and snorkels are provided for the duration of your stay at the hotel (there are also life jackets in the room for those who swim poorly).
- It's definitely worth taking guided tours: Snorkeling safari (beautiful reefs), shark swimming (adrenaline guaranteed) and manta ray hunting (incredible reefs and unforgettable experiences).
- We also tried Lobster Dinner at Crab Restaurant, but it did not cause much excitement.
- Cocktail Party is a must-have! The tour was canceled three times due to lack of people (at least 6 people) or bad weather, but when it took place, it was incredible: delicious cocktails, beautiful sunsets and atmosphere.
- Don't forget to rent a transparent kayak and take beautiful photos.
5. Staff
- The hotel staff was very polite and helpful. I would especially like to mention Angeli (the chef at the salad station, she also helped with the selection of dishes) and Vilma (unfortunately, her contract ended and she returned to India).
- The guys from Dive Centre are real professionals who are passionate about their work.
- The only one who left a negative impression is Sandun. He actively offered guided tours on his first visit to the main restaurant, and during dinner at the Crab Restaurant he tried to impose a bottle of champagne for $ 250, joking that it was included in the price. Also at dinner, he gave me a card and said that you should definitely leave a great review about me. That is, people should be writing reviews, not enjoying dinner. His behavior was incorrect and left an unpleasant aftertaste.
Result
The hotel met expectations by 99.99%. It was beautiful, delicious and romantic! I definitely recommend you to visit.
