Pros: the location is in the center, the hotel is located on a quiet street, the room is nice inside.
Cons: the worst thing is the view from the window (the photo was taken on a sunny day). We lived in an economy room, it was on the 1st floor. The window just looked out into some kind of inner well between the houses, while this is nowhere in the photos on various hotel booking aggregators. There was some garbage outside the window. They refused to change to another one, allegedly they have the only free economy.
The bed linen has not been changed once, nor have the towels (this is the first time I've seen this). The sound insulation is disgusting, you could hear the girl talking loudly at the reception, how people were climbing the stairs and how the washing machine was working.
It is a 10-minute uphill walk to the tram stop, 20 minutes to the metro.
Wi-fi did not work well, although the room was next to the router.
I do not recommend this hotel.

We stayed for 4 days at the end of November. We were satisfied. Special thanks to the hosts for their sincerity and responsiveness!
The historical center is just around the corner from the hotel. To the nearest tram stop, Chamberlitash, you need to go up the hill (we usually went down from it, and left Sultanahmet). At the same time, climbing a hill can be a good option if you decide to throw off a little extra if you suddenly ate baklava :))
If necessary, the owners will help with calling a taxi to the airport, advise good places, and take into account your wishes for service. After Istanbul, we stayed in Sochi - Mayda leads 10:0 in terms of hospitality!
The rooms are comfortable, but the only drawback is the lack of a battery in the bathroom. In our case, the trip to the shower was with elements of hardening, because it was quite cool and windy outside (about 5'C). At the same time, the batteries in the room worked at 150%, and there was always hot water.
The area itself seemed calm and safe to us, despite the various reviews we read before the trip. But since the historical center is very close, the prices in cafes and shops are quite tourist

We stayed from May 11 to May 19, 2024. On the evening of check-in, the hostess (or whoever it was at the reception) gave us the room keys and left. She never showed up at the hotel during her vacation. Communication with her is only via WhatsApp. Cleaning was done once a week, and then at our request. The bed linen was not changed, toilet paper was taken by themselves in the closet on the ground floor. I do not recommend it.
