Probably it was the worst hop on hop off experience ever. The major thing is the twice we hopped off the bus to attend sightseeing in Taksim and Dolmabahse Palace, to get back in the route took us literally 2 hours, as no bus appeared according to schedule, we had no choice but use the taxi. I won’t recommend it to anybody, super expensive for that kind of service. The bus driver doesn’t speak eng at all.. how possible if he works so tightly with foreigners.
The 2nd floor is now nice because it’s usually open rooftop. But here not the case, so there is no visibility 360° You are usually expecting from the tour like that.
The main advantage of these tour buses is the unique opportunity to explore the city in a comfortable Hop-on-Hop-off mode. You buy a ticket and are free to get in and out throughout the day, which is very convenient for exploring the sights on your own.
The route passes through the most interesting places of Istanbul: from the historical center through the Bosphorus to the Asian part of the city. The trip takes about 3 hours, and during this time you will have time to see many iconic places.:
- St. Sophia Cathedral
- Galata Tower
- Beylerbeyi Palace
- Taksim Square
The buses are double-decker, with an open upper deck, which allows you to enjoy panoramic views of the city. The cabin has screens with information about the location and schedule, as well as an audio guide in 8 languages (Russian is number 6). Headphones and a bottle of water are provided.
The ticket price is about $50 (1,800 Turkish lira) for 24 hours. There are also options for 48 hours and a special evening tour. Children under 8 years old can ride for free.
From the nuances:
- Stairs to the second floor may be inconvenient for people with limited mobility
- On an open deck, you need to be prepared for wind and sun
- I recommend taking your headphones for the best sound quality
Lured, promised, cheated.
Everything is classic.
The schedule is only in the morning, somehow.
We wanted to board at 17... we arrived early, the result came at 18.05. We were "delighted" and asked why the traffic jams were talking.
And then it's better, they drove me to the train station and they say it doesn't go any further. (Although they were persuaded to bring them back to the mosque)
They quarreled, said let's go, We won't leave!
We drove along the embankment further, it was more convenient for us.
There is something to remember with a good word!
