I visited this place today, the interior for the dining room is nice, cozy, and presentable. The toilet stinks + not cleaned , the tiles are dirty.
You can turn a blind eye to all this, but the attitude of the staff leaves much to be desired. A girl in a burgundy blouse with white inscriptions with a ponytail, maliciously and disdainfully served the visitors of the establishment. The food was poorly heated, and the cutlet turned out to be cold. I wouldn't visit it anymore.

The best cafe of national cuisine in Vitebsk!

A "cheap canteen" with high prices. We had lunch together, without drinks, we didn't even take tea, for 1,670 Russian rubles. We took two beetroot salads, mashed potatoes with salads, French fries with a chicken chop with mushrooms, and also a pancake with ham, which was overheated to the state of breadcrumbs and tried to pass it off as an excellent quality product, in every possible way we avoided replacing it with a normal one. They've gone down a lot. We were there in 2019 and now in June 2024. If it was even more or less cozy then, recent experience has shown that the institution does not even keep the brand "not bad". There are only two types of soup. The broth was frankly thick with water, chicken fibers were floating. Pancakes with meat only, heated from the microwave. There are no potato or mushroom toasts in sight.
"kKlduns", "babka" and other national cuisine did not even look in, although they remained on the signboard. The second courses were cutlets and three types of side dishes, that's all. A vegetable salad with a spoonful of beans is proudly called "Sicilian". The tables are dirty and sticky. Who cares- there is alcohol on sale, fruit drinks and compote, juice from boxes. By the way, it's not cheap, lunch for one in the region of 600 rubles for Russian money.

I strongly do not recommend visiting! The menu is meager, the dishes are made on "maybe it will do."
I visited the restaurant in early August 2024: the prices are too high, the quality of the dishes is 1 point out of 5. A cold semblance of soup ("solyanka") - in which, in fact, only pearl barley and pieces of pickled cucumber were present, the fries were dry - it is impossible to eat. The "crown of creation" is the fish "Argentina": it's better to try it yourself, friends, it's something. One of the advantages is an excellent location: the historical center of the city, opposite the Vitebsk Bazaar. I will appeal, if possible, to the supervisory authorities of Belarus: it is not good to spoil the impression of a beautiful ancient city by such institutions.

The chicken chop that I ordered cost 8.93rubles, although according to the price, it costs 6.06 rubles per 100 grams. But nowhere is it indicated that if it exceeds the volume, then the price increases. 100 grams of chop for 6 rubles??? Are you serious?

Comfortably, in a folk style, there is its own flavor and almost exactly opposite the "cradle" of the "Slavic Bazaar in Vitebsk" of the famous amphitheater.
I associate "Bulbyanaya" with a woman of "Balzac's age" who came into the Vitebsk hotel, where I worked, and gave me an artificial flower, saying that she took "Bulbyanaya" from the table.
