For twenty years now, the defender of the Belarusian land, Asilak, has been standing on the outskirts of Svisloch. This is the image of an ordinary resident of our country: he is dressed in a simple shirt, barefoot. Peaceful — he lowered a huge sword to the ground. But he didn't let go. So, in case of aggression from the outside, you are ready to fight: Whoever comes to us with a sword will die by the sword. His gaze is fixed and sharp-sighted, directed to the west. After all, it was from there that the enemy came to the Belarusian land. The defender looks into the distance, watches day and night. And his image is great, as is the great feat of the people.
This monument-memorial to the defenders of the Fatherland was opened on the 45th anniversary of the liberation of Svisloch from Nazi occupation on July 16, 1989. (From Yandex)

Yes, we were there. The monument is visible from afar. Tall, monumental! The hero looks towards Lithuania. Where enemies have always come to us with war. The hero stands guard!
