The Bukhara Museum of Fine Arts is located in the building of the former trading house of Savva Morozov, built in 1912. The museum seemed quite interesting. The museum's collections are mainly paintings by Soviet artists, including P.P. Benkov, G.V. Sobolev-Melekhov, and there are modern paintings. The exposition of decorative and applied art objects, as well as the "golden pantry", also seemed interesting. The entrance ticket is 60,000 UZS.
The museum is small, the exhibition is interesting, I liked the portraits, they are very characteristic. Views of Bukhara in the 30s. Antique jewelry and metalwork, very elegant. And of course, the staff is very helpful. As, however, everywhere in Uzbekistan.
It should be understood from the beginning that this is not the Hermitage or the Tretyakov Gallery. Take a guided tour and you will be able to better understand the country and people through the prism of art! Thanks for the stories!
