An ordinary three-piece, modest, clean, with good repair. Pleasant and unobtrusive service. Located in the very center, the tourist Mecca is simple. You can walk everywhere. The breakfasts are modest, but we didn't stay hungry. And be sure to check out the spa on the minus 2nd floor
The hotel is a real hole!!!!!)) Don't believe the photo at all! The room is insanely small, very oppressive, low ceilings, the corridors are dark, the hotel is dirty, very strange, you can see that the renovation is modern, but it feels like it hasn't been renovated in 30 years, the rooms are dirty, very dirty mattresses, pillows and terrible bedding, like towels, there were no lampshades on the wall The chandelier is broken, everything is creepy! The breakfasts are disgusting, sliced simmit, bread, sometimes omelets, sometimes boiled eggs, sometimes not, French fries, cheese, small sausages, cucumbers, tomatoes, olives, flakes, dirty water in the titanic for tea, no porridge, cheesecakes, pancakes, toasts, nothing! There is no kettle, mugs or glasses in the room. Nice people at the reception, they brought a second pillow and an iron at the request, but even that was rewound with electrical tape! So, now there are advantages, a good location, Topkapi, the Blue Mosque are just around the corner, the Grand Bazaar is a 5-minute walk away, as well as the T1 tram stop, which just mixes through the historical center. Yes, we only came to bed, walked all day, visited museums, but we also wanted to sleep and take a shower (which also didn't work, but was quickly repaired) in more comfortable conditions. The cleaning was dark, there was someone else's hair everywhere when we checked in, tips were left, clean towels were brought to us every day. The photo, alas, does not convey the whole nightmare and the size of the room, it is like a matchbox.
Advantages: location
Cons: noisy, cramped rooms, old rooms, broken bidet.
We were less lucky because the road works were being carried out at night. It was impossible to fall asleep without earplugs. A meager breakfast ( the usual food for the Russian people was eggs and butter and bread) from the advantages, the coffee is delicious) ! But mugs are not always available. The free SPA program includes only a cold sauna from 12 to 18.00. The hotel staff are pleasant and will quickly come to your aid if you overcome the language barrier.

In general, it's not bad, considering that this is the center of the old city. Of the advantages, it is located not on the main noisy street, but behind it. It was quiet, you could open the windows.
The beautiful design of the rooms, but unfortunately somewhere something has peeled off, something has worn off, it is not critical for me, and it did not catch my eye. TV with Russian channels, if you really miss Russia (656-Russia, 655-Russia24)
The breakfasts are good, but not wow.(wow, only on the first and second day) A lot of different cheeses, sausage is not very good, fried sausages, French fries / onion rings / cheese sticks (one day it seemed that yesterday's ones were mixed with new ones, because they did not chew properly), greens, olives, cucumbers, tomatoes, boiled eggs, yogurt, milk with different cereals, bread of different types and smears on it (butter, shokolah.pasta, various jams), juices, teas and coffee. In a week. In general, this is enough.
One of the advantages of choosing a hotel was the spa. We went three times a week, because the time of free admission is not very convenient (from 12:00 to 18:00) swimming pool, sauna (sauna is not heated, water was constantly poured). We went to 12/13 no one, for some reason no one visits, so it was very secluded, which is a big plus. Massage is expensive, even for hotel guests. I went to a nearby hotel where the price is the cheapest in the area of 50 euros (in Dundara, like 70/80 euros). In Moscow, you can safely find a massage cheaper, but here it seems like a business on this, and the prices are cosmic. Russian Russian is very good in the neighboring hotels (the rooms and lobbies themselves are ugly, there is no pool; I will not advertise-you can just score a massage and it will float out), But very lucky: the receptionist spoke Russian, and the masseuse Maya (from Turkmenistan) is very good Russian, chatted during the session. The massage is good, the whole thing is stretched. In Dundara, the black girls did not understand Russian, and they hardly spoke English. Bathrobes were not given either in the spa, at the reception, or in the room, which is very strange. Only English is spoken well at the reception.
Cleaning was done every day, the only thing on the first day was they forgot to leave a tip and there was no cleaning, it was unpleasant.
Overall, I do not regret the chosen hotel, the price/quality/location ratio is good
A nice clean hotel with an excellent location. The tram and metro are very close, Sultanahmet and Hagia Sophia are just around the corner. The staff is pleasant, only the girls in the spa are clearly bored, only we went to the sauna and pool)
The hotel is for very unassuming guests. The rooms are tired, the walls are stripped, but at the same time there is a good daily cleaning, and the breakfasts are good, without frills, but everything that is necessary is present. Eggs, sausages, steamed vegetables, olives and olives, a lot of different, tea, coffee, soups, cheeses. Very convenient location of the hotel, right next to all the attractions of the area)
We had a good family vacation at this hotel, the service is on the level, some nurses know Russian, can tell you what, the dining room deserves special praise.
The rooms are much smaller than they seem, everything in the room is a little "tired", the breakfasts are good, the cleaning is not bad either. It is a pity that we did not visit the spa during the week of our stay)
A normal hotel, the staff understands English more or less. The breakfasts are very strange, there is nothing like that. There are cheeses, sausages and greens with bread. It's a little sad, there's not even any porridge. But it is quite close to all the sights of Istanbul. The interior is nice and comfortable. Only in the mornings it is very noisy if you live on the first or last floor
In general, it is a normal hotel. Nothing outstanding, but not terrible either. We lived in October 2021. We paid 34 thousand for 8 (or 9, I don't remember exactly) nights, a double room. It turns out to be about 4.5 thousand per night. I think this is a red price. Maximum of 5 thousand. I wouldn't pay any more.
The pros and cons listed below are purely subjective, for a not very picky guest.
Positive:
1) Good location near bus stops and attractions, you can walk. At the same time, the area and the street are bazaars, but finding another one in this part of the city is still a challenge.
2) Adequate staff, administrators speak English normally. There were no conflict situations.
3) Fresh renovation. Everything worked in our room, everything was intact.
4) A normal breakfast. Monotonous, but for a visitor who is not spoiled by 5-star buffets, it is quite tasty and satisfying.
5) Good shower (especially "tropical"), stable availability of hot water.
6) If you perceive the spa complex as an opportunity to steam up, then it is quite good for itself. There is a hammam, sauna and steam room. It was too cool for me in the hammam, and in the sauna too (+60℃), but if you go to the steam room after 15 minutes of the sauna, then it's generally good. The pool is small, but it is enough to cool down after the steam room. Towels are not always available, you need to take them from the room. From 12 to 16 hours for free, then – from 10 euros per person.
7) There are scales in the lobby to help those who have bought too many goodies and are afraid of overweight.
Minuses:
1) The sound insulation is poor. To sleep peacefully, you need earplugs.
2) It looks like there is smoking in the rooms. The smell of cigarettes was present in the room all the time. Ventilation works poorly, sometimes it did not work at all.
3) There is no kettle in the room or at least on the floor. Every evening I had to ask for a couple of cups of hot water. Naturally, while they are being brought, the water cools down, and you can't really make tea. Enrages.
4) Rather slow cleaning of tables during breakfast. It could be attributed to the nuances, but several times we had to sit down at an unmade table and ask two or three times to wipe it.
5) The key card stops working after the visit of the cleaners, you have to run to the reception.
Nuances:
1) On the minus 1st floor, in addition to the rooms (where we were accommodated), there are utility rooms, so there is constant staff movement, chatter and the rustle of laundry bags. In addition to poor sound insulation, it is a dubious pleasure…
2) In a number of rooms (for example, B01 and, most likely, all 01 rooms), the windows overlook ... a wall that can be reached by hand from the window. Accordingly, it is very dark in such rooms. There is also a plus – less noise from the street. But if you want to admire the views from the window, then indicate this when communicating with the hotel before entering.
3) A double bed is two single beds with a small joint between the mattresses. It's not critical, but keep in mind. Kingsize in Turkish.
4) Cleaning for 3 out of 5. Not bad, but the corners of the room are washed so-so ...
P.S.: now the hotel is called Dundar Hotel & Spa. The old name is indicated on the maps.
An average quality hotel. Cleaning for show is far from ideal. The spa consists of a couple of rooms with different "baths" and a very small swimming pool. If 2-3 couples come at the same time, then there is no place to stay there. Breakfast is also a three-course meal.
The biggest disadvantage is that the hotel is located on a very dirty bazaar street. Get ready to regularly run away from this area without looking back, and return in the evening, kicking the remains of boxes and bottles around.
Plus, there is a tram and metro nearby.
The stay at the hotel was remembered not only for the easy accessibility of the main attractions of ancient Constantinople and Ottoman Istanbul, but also for the attentive attitude towards the hotel guests. The breakfasts are varied and delicious. On the part of the staff, not only any request, but also a hint does not go unnoticed. The best impressions.
Nice new hotel, very good staff and everything is within walking distance. Of the cons, there is no kettle in the room and the spa did not work because of covid-19.
