We visited the Big Buddha in February and it's not working at full capacity right now, but the views from here are simply breathtaking. We went up on foot along a picturesque path – it was steep in places, but it was worth it, especially in tense places there was a rope stretched as a railing. Part of the way passes almost through the jungle and the plantations of hevea, very atmospheric! On the way, we even saw signs of monkeys in the trees. On the way to the top, there is a cozy view cafe to relax, drink, and eat.
There are local monkeys hanging around the souvenir shop upstairs – they turned out to be quite cultured guys, unlike those in Monkey Town.
A good atmosphere conveys the whole culture of Thailand. It is always beautiful and has a good view. Right in the jungle, you are sitting and around you the fresh air of Thailand and the trees, beauty!
It was built straight out of granite.
It's nice to arrive in the morning so quietly.
I'M WARNING YOU!!! THERE ARE A LOT OF ARROGANT MONKEYS WHO JUST JUMP, AND IF THEY DON'T GIVE WHAT THEY ASK FOR, THEY BITE IN BURSTS. IF YOU ARE WITH CHILDREN, I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT, I JUMP STRAIGHT INTO STROLLERS.
SHE JUMPED ON HER MOTHER AND SNATCHED THE PHONE AWAY. THE ONLY DRAWBACK OF THE MONKEY!!!
The Big Buddha is currently closed for restoration, but this does not prevent you from visiting the observation deck around it, it offers a beautiful view. There is a shop at the top with quite reasonable prices by the standards of the tourist area at the top of the mountain
I recommend going up to the beach by a walking route, we went from Karon, set a walking route from its beach and see how to get there. The route is suitable only for the most persistent and brave tk passes through the jungle
