The exit to the sea coast from the village of Betalbatin in South Goa from the Nanu Beach Resort Hotel takes literally two minutes, you need to pass by two beach shops. In Sasha Himalaya's store, which speaks excellent Russian and is very friendly, you can exchange any currency for rupees at a favorable rate and without cheating, buy beach accessories and souvenirs made of natural stones and pearls...passing by shops and lazy beach dogs basking in the sun on the smallest white sand, which feels sad underfoot like starch, the view opens up to a page-less expanse of the sea with waves beating against the shore. To the right and left of the exit to the sea there are three Shaka (local cafes) and a rescue booth. It should be noted that three cafes are located only at this outlet to the sea....So, thanks to the reviews we read, we walked towards Jimmy's cafe, about which there were many flattering statements.... but Max came out to meet us from Rosa's Cafe Shaka, on the right in front of Jimmy's cafe, and we stayed with them for the whole two weeks. All cabins are equipped with sun beds with sun umbrellas, sun beds with mattresses and towels. Sun beds and towels are provided free of charge, provided that you order and buy something at the cafe. We have been guests of this cafe for two weeks because the whole team is great, Max is very cheerful, friendly, speaks excellent Russian, and the food is very tasty. The prices are very loyal, we didn't check where it was cheaper, everything was fine with us here. Every morning, the guys brought seafood and fresh fish from the fish market, you could choose which fish or shrimp you want to cook as a main course for lunch or dinner. Fresh flounder, sea bass, dorado and shrimps of all sizes and colors. A dish of decent-sized flounder with a side dish, salad and sauce came out from 1200-1400 rupees, shrimp up to 200 rupees apiece, depending on the size, mango juice or other fruits - 150 rupees, a portion of fruit salad, which can be mastered only by two people - 250 rupees, soup - 150. You can talk about food for a long time and with gusto, the guys are just great, everything is very tasty and made with a soul!! Thanks to Max and the owner of the cafe, Carlos Santana, our stay was simply magical. If you need to go somewhere, the cafe owner can offer his services and take you or provide a car with a driver who can take you on an excursion, to a waterfall or to retail outlets if desired, everyone will tell you where it is better to buy, taking into account your preferences.
About the sea....the entrance to the sea is very shallow, so in shallow water the wave gains strength and power, standing knee-deep in the water you can be covered by the ninth wave and spin like on an attraction in a water park, not every craftsman will reach the depths with dry hair. If you get to the depth, you can enjoy the warm and clean water with pleasure. The sea holds just magically, you can lie like a float. Coming out of the sea is also another attraction, many enter the water up to their chests and ride the waves. There is a show for everyone who loves what ...
The season is from November to March, according to locals, in March there is a strong heat wave and tides that flood the entire coastline, so in March the cafes are dismantled to the ground and everything is moved to the territory of the nearest hotel until the next season.
So, there is a shower with fresh water between the Shaks, a toilet with a hygienic shower, although it should be drained, as in many resort toilets in Southeast Asia, with a bucket bucket, but everything is very clean if its visitors behave decently. The coastline is simply huge and endless, there are towers with lifeguards in the bathing areas, the beach is municipal, clean, the sand is packed with surf no worse than asphalt, closer to the Shaks it is soft and hot under the pressure of the sun, which is almost invisible due to the constant haze...This is Mowgli's land with a red earth and a scarlet sun disk that imperceptibly floats over the horizon and also quickly disappears from view without touching the horizon in the evening.
The fish market and the nearest settlement, Kolva, with shops and a market, can be reached by walking along the beach, walking briskly for 20-25 minutes, but even in the absence of direct sunlight, it's an occupation for seasoned people (it's hot), but it's real.
A group of our compatriots went from Kolva to our Shaq, they lived in a hotel located not on the first line, but a walk along the beach was not a burden to them. The guys brought with them a large pineapple from the market (it should be noted that pineapples are just unusually juicy and sweet), and they cleaned it in the cafe.
Along the coastline, sometimes a gorgeous buffalo was driven, as in the cartoon about Mowgli with huge arched horns, which walked with an absolutely incomparable dancing gait, practically without touching the sand with its hooves, a log hung around its neck, which held its head in a position as if it were pulling a plow to plow the land. They also walked past a cow with a hump like a camel, the likes of which I've never seen. At the same time, the animals behaved much more dignified than some representatives of bipeds and did not pour on the way.
On the beach, as everywhere, there are packs of beach dogs that guard their habitats, everything is strict with them....they are very loyal and good-natured to vacationers.
In the evening, tables are brought to the coastline, music is playing, locals come to ride the waves and meet the sunset. Everything is very peaceful and decent.
Since 2013, we have been traveling every year for 2-3 months, we really like this beach, the coastline is more than 100 meters wide, the snow-white sand is crisp as snow, and the walking distance to Kolva (a large village) On Betalbatim is quiet and very cozy. There are 5 Shacks in the season where you can sit and have a delicious meal, my recommendations are the shack (cafe) at Jimi and Rosa Cafe. I recommend it to everyone, the prices are the same as in the north of GOA.
Bounty Beach! There is pure white sand for many kilometers! How's the sand? Flour, starch. Very good entrance to the sea. The wave is moderate, you cross the surf line and swing. Lots of restaurants, fresh seafood. Clear! There are female cleaners. There are rescuers. I really liked it!
