The hotel left a very bad impression. We booked a house for a company of 4 people (lubung, or some similar name). We stopped by and realized that we couldn't stay here, so we left our things behind to move around with our lungs, and rented hotels nearby.
The territory is gorgeous, the cliff, the jungle. The pools are very beautiful, but that's it. There are 3 staff members. We tried to refund the money for the room, waited 30 minutes at the reception, and after calling the receptionist, no one came. We decided not to get in touch, but to leave an honest review so that other tourists would understand the real situation at the hotel. The photos on the booking sites do not correspond to reality. The house is not just dirty, but disgustingly dirty! We put one towel with spots and a hole on 4 people, while individual sets of brushes)) The bathroom door has cracked glass. The toilet is dirty, frogs and birds jumped inside. There's a minimum of light in the cabin. The door closes, honestly, with finger-sized cracks all around. And the most important thing (the house is located in the jungle, let me remind you) is that the wall of the second floor of the house is like a sieve, there are not just mosquitoes, anything will crawl in and fly in. The kitchen is very dirty, glasses with traces of food, sugar in the common area with ants. They disdained to eat.
The guide said that 10 years ago it was a very expensive and popular hotel. Now there is no money to pay for the staff and apparently repair the damage minimally.Honestly, it's a pity that such a place was just ruined.
The hotel is cool, with a steep cliff and a view of the jungle. At night, the sounds of wildlife, a lot of geckos) there are also rooms, but this is not so critical for the island) breakfast of local cuisine, it was difficult for me to find something to eat.
A cozy little hotel. The rooms are large and bright with a thoughtful design. For all my travels in Bali, this is the 9th hotel. There have never been such large rooms. Furniture made of expensive wood. The bathroom has both a shower and a free-standing bathtub. There is a kettle and a hairdryer in the rooms. A large wardrobe. I was upset by the quality of room cleaning and the attitude of the staff towards tourists. There was no hot water in the shower in our friends' room for three days. The reception staff did not respond to requests. On my husband's birthday, which he celebrated in this hotel, there was no cake, no banal congratulations. Although in our previous visits to Bali, the staff of other hotels always congratulated us. Meager breakfasts. We do not plan to return to this hotel.
The hotel is located far from the hustle and bustle on the slope of the so-called jungle, where the river passes below and you can hear its noise, it's a thrill, keep in mind that there are quite a lot of steep steps on the territory of the hotel, which you constantly have to climb and descend to your homes. There are several pools on site, the coolest in this hotel of all in which we swam in Bali. Beautiful and well-groomed territory, when we were (June 2019) there was not much renovation of the territory next to the restaurant where breakfast is served, but it did not interfere at all, because the owner of the hotel was very worried about the guests and tried to do everything faster and without too much noise. The only thing that upset me a little was the dampness in the room. Fortunately, we were already ready for this, because we knew about the high humidity of Ubud, because it rains most often there. There is a shuttle service from the hotel to the center of Ubud at night, which is very convenient. The infinity pool above the river is the largest of all that the hotel has and it is a great place for a photo. This is really the place where you want to take a break from the hustle and bustle and be alone from everyone.
