Nice hotel! ❤
It is located in Fatih, Sultanahmet district, 5-10 minutes walk to the main attractions (Sultanahmet, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, etc.). There is also an embankment nearby where you can walk.
The hotel itself is in the Ottoman style, the rooms are clean and cozy. There is everything you need. For the price, this is a very inexpensive hotel, and considering the location and the fact that good breakfasts are included, it's generally a gift! The staff is polite and always helps, prompts if necessary.
Tip - take a room the higher the floor, the better. There are balconies and the view is normal, do not take it at the very bottom, although it is cheaper there, but it is better to pay a little extra, it's more comfortable.
I liked everything, we stayed there in May 2024. I recommend the Basileus hotel in Istanbul.

The hotel is very tired. But everything would still be fine if it weren't for the large number of cockroaches. And the location is not the most advantageous. It seems to be the center, but very low, a steep hill, to get to the square you need to climb quite decently, and then come to the hotel to go down, in short, fitness! And the breakfasts are very simple, without much choice.I wouldn't go there a second time.

We had a rest in the period from June 24 to June 30, 2024. We chose the hotel based on the reviews. Upon arrival, they were, to say the least, upset. The hotel smells musty, old furniture, dirty, poorly cleaned, dust everywhere. But the cherry on the cake was the presence of a huge number of bedbugs on the bed in room 205!!! Everything is very clearly visible in the photo. The room was changed for us, they provided us with a room on the 1st floor for one night, there were no bedbugs, although they might have looked badly. After that, they provided a room on the second floor, next to the originally provided 206. The triple room, no bedbugs were found on the double bed, but there were traces of etching, and bedbugs were still present on the single bed! In short, the horror! I didn't want to go back to the room! Things were constantly in the suitcase, so as not to bring these wonderful insects with you. My friend also had a room on the second floor, but in another wing, they only had cockroaches walking around😨

The hotel has a great location, good breakfasts (at a nearby hotel). No one speaks Russian (only good English) The hotel is old, but the rooms are spacious. Upon check-in, the bathtub flowed, which was repaired and siliconized, and we spent the night in another much worse hotel. I chose the hotel for a long time, but I lost it. There are many cafes and attractions nearby.

Very convenient location. The rooms are cleaned daily. Delicious breakfasts, but the most important advantage of this hotel is its staff. Very sincere people. We are always ready to help and respond to any request. Some people know Russian.
