Great rooms, great hosts, great location. It was the first time, I liked everything. Children have a place to walk, play; adults have a place to sit for a glass and a barbecue)). Many thanks to the owners of this hotel, Vera and Musa, for such an attitude.

We rested for 10 days with a family of 4 people in the guest house "Barberry" at the end of June.
At our request, we were provided with a transfer with an excellent driver in a comfortable car from Adler airport. We quickly reached the place of rest. The hospitable hostess Vera met us. Vera showed us the territory, allocated a place in the refrigerator and a drawer for food in the kitchen, and escorted us to the room.
We lived in a four-bed single room. The room is comfortable: comfortable beds with beautiful linen, wardrobe, shelving tables, shower, toilet, air conditioning, TV, which was not turned on all the rest)). At night it was comfortable to sleep with the window open, during the day we dozed with air conditioning in the heat.
The village is green, blooming, calm. The beach is nearby. There are few people, there is no fuss. There are several shops nearby, an excellent dining room with very tasty homemade food.
The hosts helped to organize our leisure time: with the owner of the house, Musa, we went on an excursion to New Athos and Lake Ritsa. Musa is an excellent storyteller, knows the history and customs of Abkhazia well, will tell you what else you can see, where to have a tasty and inexpensive snack. Vera is an excellent organizer: she will welcome everyone cordially, support any conversation, call a taxi at the request, advise and organize any excursion and even make sure that you do not get burned at sea!))) Thanks to these hospitable people, we also saw the mountains (an awesome excursion to the Celestial Empire), went on a boat trip to Gagra, visited the White Cliffs.
The owners take care of comfortable and kind relations between vacationers, try to rally everyone (of course, at will;): Musa cooks a delicious barbecue (savored twice during our vacation), organizes children's parties with animators, helps to spend birthdays. In the evenings there were friendly gatherings, where we found many friends from different cities of Russia.
We definitely recommend Barberry!!!

A wonderful and cozy guest house. We had a rest with my husband and son, everyone really liked it! The rooms are bright and clean. The staff is responsive, friendly. The owners of the house are always happy to help and answer all questions about how and where to get there, as well as organize excursions themselves, this is a plus for us. The house has a pleasant friendly atmosphere. 5-7 minutes walk to the sea, the beaches are clean enough. The location of the house is convenient, near the border with Russia, you can walk, shops,canteens and cafes are within walking distance. We liked the rest in Barberry! There were no downsides for me.
We rested in Barberry on weekends from 05-08.04.2024. We came to Adler for work with friends and decided to take over Abkhazia.
There are very kind, polite people in Barberry. It was like I was visiting relatives. The territory is clean, everything is closed, which is very safe for kids. There is a barbecue area where Musa (the owner) fried us a delicious barbecue, according to his own recipe. We also ordered excursions from Musa. The tour was very cool, based on our wishes. They stretched it out for 2 days, which allowed them to take places not in puffs, but to enjoy the beauty of Abkhazia. Abkhazia is a very colorful and interesting country💫

We were in barberry this summer. By the way, we haven't been anywhere before. I liked everything. The hosts are friendly, they will tell you everything and show you. In general, we had a good rest. Shops, cafes, canteens., all within walking distance. And the sea is just awesome, clean and warm. It takes about five, seven minutes to walk to the sea.

We have been coming here for several years now. We come for family holidays, we come for children, for ourselves. Firstly, it is accessible, secondly, but rather at the head is the sparseness and primeval nature. The reliability and hospitality of the host is important, it is there and about it separately. Here we enjoy and enjoy everything. Do you know many places where you can just swim and watch dolphins in their natural environment a few meters away? That's why these are amazing places. And of course the mountains... It has its own atmosphere, every time we go there with bated breath and admiration, We can endlessly list what Abkhazia is for us. Amazing, fabulous every time...That's what we go for every year. We stay in Barberry, because everything you may need between exciting walks is here, and most importantly, reliable, kind, responsive Musa and Vera, the surrounding attention complement the confidence that you are a dear and welcome guest here, for which thank you very much.

I really enjoyed my stay in Barberry, the pleasant hosts and their assistants, the room was clean and cozy. It is a 5-minute walk to the sea. The infrastructure for the village is well developed, all cafes, canteens and shops are within walking distance from the hotel.
There are swings and trampolines for children, the hostess ordered an entertainment program with animators for children.
It is very sad that our vacation is over!

A great family hotel
I had a rest with two children (12 and 9), everyone quickly got to know each other, thanks to the sociable hostess and her wonderful barbecue! The hotel itself is clean, the rooms are comfortable, the order is monitored at 5+. The sea is 5-7 minutes, the beach is well-maintained. Families with children will enjoy this holiday! An amazing place with sincere people. Only here, with children, without children. Clean rooms, homely atmosphere, fun evenings, sincere people! Vera and Musa, you are the best! A new, clean, cozy hotel. It is located a 30-minute walk from the border with Russia. Excellent comfortable rooms, which have everything you need. Excellent Turkish furniture. Large kitchen, for self-cooking, excellent dining area. There is a trampoline for children, a fountain to create comfort and atmosphere, two swings. The hosts are Musa and Vera, very hospitable. To the sea through the cypress alley, 7 minutes walk. The beach is wide, there is both sand and pebbles. The sea is clear.

We were in Abkhazia for the first time and got to the Barberry guest house. We were very well received and accommodated. The hosts are very hospitable, the rooms are cozy and clean. There are many advantages of being near the border (for example, they catch Russian SIM cards without roaming) Everything is very good. Next time we will definitely stay here

This year I really wanted to swim and sunbathe on the seashore. We had a rest in July-August 2022. The choice fell on Abkhazia. After reviewing a bunch of accommodation options (we chose two days almost continuously), we chose the Barberry hotel. We were lucky that a two-room room was available for our dates, although there were only three of us (2bzr and reb 15 years old). The room is newly renovated, new furniture, air conditioning (not useful), bathroom with shower, TV, everything you need for a comfortable stay. The kitchen is shared (for the first time we felt ourselves in a communal apartment - also, by the way, an adventure), everything in the kitchen is for cooking and storing food (each room has its own shelf in the refrigerator). The products were bought in the nearest shops. We had no desire to cook for three days - we went to the dining room on Shahumyan Street, as they write above, it is really within five minutes of availability. The food is normal, homemade - there were no problems with stomachs. The wild beach on the sea is also not far away. The entrance to the sea is pebbly, and 10 meters from the shore there is sand. There is a cafe "barrel" on the beach, so you don't have to leave the beach for lunch. Everything seems to be about everyday life. Vacation is not limited to a single sea - you also need to see the country. And here Vera is ready to help - she tells in great detail WHAT and most importantly WHEN it is better to visit. Vera and Musa organize the excursions themselves. For certain reasons, we were able to arrange only one excursion, although there were a couple more in the plans. Nothing, we'll catch up, because we plan to return to this hospitable hotel. Separately, it is worth noting the awesome barbecue, which is prepared by Musa. What else should I mention? Transfer? Vera organized it for us, and it's better than catching taxi drivers. Someone gets from the border on their own (on the night of departure, we saw people with suitcases - apparently, this is not the first time we arrived)... In general, we really enjoyed our vacation in Abkhazia at the Barberry Hotel. And I would like to come back again. 🌊☀🐬

It is located a 5-minute drive from the border. Quiet, clean and cozy. We had a rest in September and were very satisfied. To the sea at a leisurely pace of 10 minutes along the alley . The beach is pebbly, you need special shoes to swim and a mat) . Hospitable hosts . They organize sightseeing tours by car, tell interesting stories and do not rush. The owner prepares an amazing barbecue.

We had a rest in September. The guest house itself is not bad, the rooms are freshly renovated, each room has its own bathroom, in tiles. The rooms are equipped with air conditioning, a large bed and a two-story cot for children. There is a common dining room-kitchen where you can cook if necessary. This is probably the end of the advantages) If you smoke a hookah and brought it with you, you will have to smoke strictly outside the gate, although it is not prohibited for individual "VIP persons", and these VIP persons will not show a bad example to children, unlike us. The hosts are supportive of those guests who buy homemade vinishko, homemade shish kebab from them, and, apparently, for some other reasons of their own. I do not tolerate arbitrariness - if there are rules, then they should be the same for all guests. There is a barbecue area with a roof outside the gate - we and other guests were not allowed to sit there, because this place is only for the owners) That is, if you want to roast meat for your family yourself - alas, and ah ... I watched a picture of how a company of guests fried meat next to this barbecue area, huddling somehow with skewers. I don't understand this attitude on the part of the management. Oh, yes, also get ready for strange and sarcastic comments from them - although no one asked their opinion. They can set a curfew if guests interfere with them) Yes, many people relax with children, but if the guests are sitting outside and not making noise, then why not? After all, people have a rest. There were also power and water outages, especially in the mornings and in the rain. I won't come back here for anything)

In general, a normal guest house, rooms with a separate toilet, designed for a family with 2 children, a shared kitchen. Prepare for possible power outages, while water is turned off, in most cases it happened in the morning, so breakfast started at 10-11 o'clock, turned off a couple of times in the evening. The hostess (Vera) arranges her own rules for certain guests, since there are "favorites". Such individuals may smoke hookah in the dining room with children. For us, there was a ban with reference to non-smokers and children. Do not forget to buy toilet paper, there is a roll once a week for the family. Towels are also changed once a week. Parking for your cars is good with an embankment, cars for guests are on the ground, and in the rain they will stand in a large puddle (you will drown in flip-flops). Behind the territory there is a smoking room - a small gazebo with a table. There is also a large gazebo with a barbecue, which is forbidden to sit behind - this is a recreation area for the owners of the hotel. The hotel owners themselves go to bed at 23.00 or 00.00, leaving their possessions unattended. But if you wake up, they will drive you to the room, even if you do not break the noise barrier)

A very nice hotel, especially for families with children. There is no need to take the child anywhere for entertainment, there is enough communication there. Well-maintained yard, swing, fantan. The rooms are comfortable and renovated. The owners are very decent people. Very good water. They drank from the tap. The sea is clear. Animators came.

We had a rest in Barberry in June 2022. The wilderness is rare! There are 3 places in the area to eat. There is no infrastructure outside the hotel - to get to the beauties of Abkhazia, you need to pay the owners - they earn money from it. The nearest pharmacy is 5 km away, there is a broken road all around, manure, garbage, open hatches, lack of light, local village cars racing. An unequipped beach - no toilets, no showers... it's very uncomfortable with children - my daughter was crying in search of a place to go to the toilet on the beach. The hotel is clean, the bed is comfortable, but the humidity is very high - the bed linen is constantly damp! In general, the linen does not dry there - humidity, condensation - you need to take at least 2 swimsuits. Garbage is not taken out - self-service. In general, this is a guest house, not a mini-hotel!!! the red price for the room is 1000 rubles, as in principle they rent rooms in the district. If you want not to spoil your vacation and leave, they will give you the money with a scandal, or maybe they won't. I do not recommend a vacation in Barberry.

Today we were in this place, we made an advance payment of 3600 for the first day, upon arrival we were disappointed in the stuffy air conditioner in the room, while the hostess Vera assured that this was how it should be, I also witnessed how she scolded someone for leaving the light on, is that even what??? The tourist pays you and the customer is always right!!! And the cherry on the cake was that Vera watches your every move in her hotel, maybe it's right, but it won't bring a sense of comfort! Going to the beach helped to refuse to stay in this village, since the beach, if you can call it a beach, is very dirty, bottles (glass) are lying everywhere. I would also like to add that the Barberry hotel has its own rules as in a camp when you are 12 years old, dear owners, I recommend you to be customer-oriented, this will exclude negative reviews!
That's it for me! In general, I can say that I do not recommend the Barberry Hotel for recreation!!!
P.S.
We did not stay at this hotel for the entire duration of our vacation and of course the ds was not returned to us!
So I wrote my review sitting on the shore in Gagra in a good hotel for a much smaller amount of accommodation!
I ask you not to take your feedback personally, you just need to be a little more adequate!
