It's a great place! Such a homely, cozy place by the sea! Super Friendly Karina is a person who creates a great friendly atmosphere! Food is a special pleasure, everything is prepared from the freshest products!It's not haute cuisine, but it's a gastronomic treat for those who understand!
This is my first time in Abkhazia, I will come again! And I know where I will have breakfast lunch and dinner )

This cafe is my love love. It's small, cozy, white and on the seashore, and there's also a delicious fish, just the way I like it. Responsive, unobtrusive service. Plates are my separate joy (for whom dishes are also a fetish). Be sure to visit if you want to eat fish caught in the same region, and not something frozen from far away. It's a very cool place. I don't even know why, I didn't write a review right away. Roughly speaking, I'm writing it in a year. The staff is very cool, attentive, and will always advise you on what to take. The cuisine is very tasty, they do everything as quickly as possible. During my vacation, I've already been there personally, I definitely would have returned there. Yes, prices may be slightly higher among all establishments, but the establishment itself and the service match.
Also, the beach where the establishment stands is very cool. There are few people, there is a friendly atmosphere during my stay, I could safely leave valuables and sail away for a few hours at sea and no one would touch anything. Under the establishment there is a rental of various equipment for the beach and for the sea at excellent prices. I definitely recommend both the cafe and the beach itself.

Dishes like frying pans with fish are definitely not bad, freshly caught fish + vegetables and lemon are declared (delicious). The pasta seems to have been added for a change , but it is quite edible .
Service....On the evening when we were there was one kind waitress. Everything was fine, but it felt like if the landing had been tighter (half of the hall was sitting), they would not have approached us at all...
BUT WE LOOKED AT DOLPHINS, COOL!
P. S. The white wine was closer to orange and seemed slightly oxidized, but not critically, it flew under the food quite to itself.

Hello everyone I want to leave a review about the sweetest place "Barabulka". We did not expect that we would have a delicious dinner with a guy))) but we were pleasantly surprised: there are few tables, very cozy, in terms of being on the seashore, with a wonderful view, meeting the sunset. Beautifully selected calm music, served us very quickly. And most importantly, the food😍we were served trout with vegetables, rustic potatoes, just incredibly delicious potato sauce, pasta with trout.... And just a magical wine. I was ready to sing an ode to the cook) thank you for such a pleasant meeting and memories. All the best.

A wonderful fishing place in Staraya Gagra! If you want delicious fish of different types, caught here and cooked with love and taste - you must come here!!! It is very tasty and varied! Mussels in cream sauce are just a fairy tale, lavrak - I have never eaten anything like this anywhere!!! Come and try it, 100% - you will not regret it and you will be very satisfied!!!

We came for diving, diving is just super with an instructor Igor, I advise everyone! It is located on the ground floor of this ill-fated cafe.
We went to this institution to drink a cup of coffee, the inadequate staff began to shout, as if something terrible had happened, and it turns out that we brought some sand on the shale, received a lot of negativity, a spoiled mood!
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS INSTITUTION TO ANYONE! THE CAFE IS LOCATED ON A SANDY BEACH, AND THE LOCAL STAFF PROBABLY WON'T GET USED TO IT IN ANY WAY.

Very tasty fish, especially liked with baked vegetables.

I didn't like only the fish, which, as they said, looks like a mullet, it is served, since the mullet itself is not caught this season (end of August, September)

It was a divine lunch! We walked along the embankment and came here. I have never had such a thing in Abkhazia that I liked everything that was ordered! A very good fish cafe on the very seashore, a two-level outdoor veranda, pleasant unobtrusive music. The original cuisine, which consists of 90 percent freshly washed seafood. My wife and I ordered dishes that we had never tried before, fried marmir, it turns out there is such fish, breadcrumbs, a very decent forshmak, focaccio with parmesan. Many thanks to the waitress Nadia, a real patriot of the cafe. I recommend you to visit.

We were attracted by the beautiful view of the cafe, its location and name. We were not greeted kindly, there is no lamb on the menu. The wine was only "homemade" by the glasses. I ordered a dry red. It's not wine. Dyed alcohol, apparently. Horror. September 24th. Interestingly, there are a lot of negative reviews, but the overall rating is 5 .. Hmm..

We went to this restaurant twice. Very fast, efficient, polite waiters.
The menu is mostly fishy. There are sea fish, for example Sagan and Barabulka, there is a river trout. We tried both, but most of all we liked trout. I liked focaccia. The beer is not bad.
It is very interesting to watch, sitting at a table in this institution, as the sun sets in the sea.

Unfortunately, there are no advantages of this institution.
We visited in the company of 4 people, everyone was hungry because the food leaves much to be desired (disgusting).
1. Brought appliances for 3 people
2. The dish "mashed potatoes with cutlets" was brought with cold potatoes and instead of mashed potatoes, just boiled potatoes
3. Margarita pizza has greasy oily spots in places
4. Fettuccine pasta with seafood looked like it had already been chewed before, it tasted even worse
5. The waitress at the end threw the bill on the table silently

The restaurant is located in a picturesque place, right on the beach, with a very beautiful view and you can take wonderful photos. The service is excellent and fast. I'll start with the pros - here is the most pleasant service that I have met in Abkhazia, and in the south of Russia (we live in a resort town in the south, but I come from Siberia - things are better there). The food is also delicious, the portions are large, the prices are not cheap, but given the location they can be called adequate.
Now about the cons, we were in the restaurant on 08/5.23, my wife ordered pasta, I ordered pasta and chicken soup, washed down the whole thing with delicious homemade compote. Two hours later, my wife became ill and there were signs of acute food poisoning, everything is more or less normal for me, mild indigestion, nothing critical. But the spouse has a fever and all the symptoms resulting from poisoning are present. We are in Abkhazia for the fifth day, all the time we ate only at the hotel and in the popular dining room nearby in Pitsunda, everything was fine, for the first time we decided to eat elsewhere, because we stayed in Gagra, and faced such consequences. Very sorry. Except for eating nothing in the restaurant, they only drank bottled water, so there is no doubt that it's about dinner.

If you don't have an iron stomach, walk around this cafe a kilometer away.
From the very beginning, our visit to Barabulka did not go smoothly. First of all, half of the dishes were missing from the menu. When we asked "What is available?", the waiter expertly advertised dishes from the fresh catch. And by coincidence, the price tag on them turned out to be significantly higher than everything else on the menu. Looking ahead, I will say that our score came out twice as much as we had planned.
The second point is that we didn't really like the food: the cook over-dried something, didn't add spices somewhere.
And the most important thing. Although our hotel is on the mountain, that evening we ran to it like Olympic sprinters. So imagine now how we wanted to get to the bathroom. By the way, a week later we met a married couple on the beach, who were also brought to the Barabulka by a difficult one, so their stomachs also did not appreciate the "culinary delights" of this cafe.

Barabulka without a barabulka, two stars only for the view. We have been here every year, there is something to compare it with, unfortunately the service has become worse, prices have doubled. Previously, the fisherman's pan included more types of fish, this time three fish that swim in oil. Wasps sit on food, it is difficult to drive them away.

We had dinner at this restaurant on 08/27/23. Among other things, we ordered two pastas with seafood and salmon, as well as fried fish. They washed it down with delicious homemade lemonade. After 2 hours at home, the child felt unwell after the seafood pasta. In the morning, after sleeping, signs and consequences of acute poisoning appeared. The temperature has risen. We haven't eaten anything else before. Therefore, the probability of poisoning with this particular paste is high. Otherwise, there are no questions. The service in the cafe is at a good level. The staff is polite and attentive. The service is fast. The sea view is excellent. Especially at sunset. Clear. There is a toilet. After ordering, they give wet wipes to clean your hands. I apologize to the owners of the restaurant for this review. But it's fair. It may be necessary to replace some not very fresh ingredients. The heat is doing its job.

An amazing place! Amazing views! I had to wait in line to have dinner, while in other villages it was deserted - there was a full boarding and waiting and this was already a great sign! God, it's delicious! Divine! Huge portions! The choice is wonderful! Mussels in cream sauce! Rapana with cherry tomatoes, mullet and another fish did not remember the name because the choice is huge! Focaccia ordered, but they brought huge delicious tortillas with garganzola and pine nuts! And with parmesan and pesto! We couldn't stop and stayed up until closing time and the friendly, lovely staff called us a taxi, as we didn't stop at Gagra this time. Special thanks to Karina!!! It is clear that people are like one family) if you come to Gagra, then be sure to visit this wonderful place!

We ordered lamb, trout and mussels in cream sauce.
I tried fish and mussels from different sides of the Black and Mediterranean Seas, but here I tried the most delicious!!!
Mussels are served in a creamy sauce with onions and parmesan cheese, moderately stewed and definitely not frozen before cooking! The mutton is just a fairy tale! Serving in crafting.
Special respect to the waiter Karina, the service is not intrusive, the atmosphere of the establishment is excellent! The price is average. We were very impressed with the cuisine!!!
And of course natural coffee!
I definitely recommend it)
