This beach is a real discovery for those who are looking for privacy. The beach is quiet, cozy, and almost always there are few people here. This place is ideal to spend the day in peace: you can lie down, sunbathe, no one interferes, there are no crowds and noise.
There is a small cafe nearby where you can have a delicious snack. If you arrive hungry, don't worry — the food is good, the portions are decent, everything is fresh. We've eaten there more than once, and we've never had any problems. A great place to escape from the hustle and bustle and spend the day in harmony with nature.
The only disadvantage of this beach is the steep stairs that you have to go down. It may not be safe for the elderly, so keep that in mind. But if the descent is not a problem for you, then the beach is definitely worth a visit!
A very beautiful view from the sea to the shore, on the contrary, it's also pretty, but it doesn't cause the WOW effect that we expected from the stories, but it's worth a visit! Such a small "wild" lagoon. The place is just beginning to be developed - there is some kind of construction going on to the tram line (perhaps a hotel or a cafe), the "cafe" for drinks is not very neatly located yet, but there is a place to sit. They are already asking for money for parking, but it is not yet clear on what basis (40 baht for a bike, 100 baht for a car), but if you leave the transport before parking is designated, no one asks for money. I really liked the waves - one is big, but it does not overwhelm when entering the sea, then small, but as if from all sides, after them, coming ashore, there is a feeling of rocking.
Relax on Coral Island
We lived at Bandara Phuket Beach Resort 4* and one day in January 2025, we rented a national Thai boat on our Ao Yong beach to go to the most beautiful Coral Island (Banana beach), located in the immediate vicinity of Phuket.
We sailed for ~ 20 minutes.
Staying on the island is paid: 100 baht/person - chaise longue, shower, toilet; 300 baht/person - the above + food/ cocktail menu for this price.
Positive:
1️⃣ The beach is very beautiful, the water is turquoise, clear, transparent. The sand is white, the approach is smooth and comfortable.
2. Wonderful snorkeling, much more interesting and larger than it was on the Similans: parrot fish, hedgehogs, starfish, huge dangerous tridacnae.
Cons:
1️⃣ There are a lot of people, boats, yachts and large speedboats arrive non-stop, but overall, being on the beach was comfortable. At 11 a.m., we immediately found ourselves sitting deck chairs, we also swam freely in the sea, and not like herrings in a jar.
There are many cafes on the island where you can have lunch or order a cocktail that will be brought to you in a small bucket, but the prices are much higher than in Phuket. If you need it, buy a couple of Chang jars at 7/11 and bring them with you.
Cool beach, not equipped.
There is a small beach cafe.Clear water. There is a fairly steep descent to the beach (carefully).
The boats bringing tourists were a bit annoying. But overall it's a beautiful and cozy beach.
The sea is beautiful, the waves. The cafe in the restaurant is not very friendly, the cafe is further away from the entrance. There is a swing, the beach is divided into two parts by boulders. I slipped once and tore my legs and elbows, so be careful. There's nowhere to wash, mind you. The toilet is paid for. Wi-Fi was requested at the exit from the beach in a cafe to order a taxi. We saw how cafe workers cleaned the beach from branches, etc. But it was all hidden behind a boulder.
It's a great place! It's worth finding a boat and sailing here. The main pleasure is fish of all stripes in crystal clear water! Any photo taken on this beach will be worthy of a magazine spread! New viewing platforms and amusement parks are currently being built there. Everyone should visit here!
A cozy beach with fine sand, no waves, lots of greenery around the bay, monitor lizards walk, there is a gorge nearby where water flows from a nearby waterfall. It's beautiful, but beaches with a large coastline, surf and waves are closer to me.
Great beach, clear water in the morning, shade from palm trees, not a lot of people. It's interesting to swim both simply and with a mask, with sand in the center and rocks around the edges. Beauty. We went by car, Parking is 100 baht, people are stationed along the highway.
Well, after all the covids, this is probably the best beach. Very beautiful landscapes. Trees and greenery make the place even more beautiful. Everything is there - the food is delicious. From the Must have category) I recommend. Have a good rest!
Excellent small beach! There aren't many people yet, so it's clean and easy to get there. There is a massage, but I do not recommend it, we went in four, no one liked it, it was very painful and unpleasant. There is a small place to eat, the usual thai menu, cocktails are great)
A gorgeous beach in the form of a backwater. The waves are moderate, the buzz is high, there are a lot of people, the view is awesome. The food is being prepared. Massage , where without it in Thailand) . I definitely recommend visiting
One of the best islands. The water is just brilliant. It's very beautiful and cool. I recommend. Hermit crabs can be found. Both children and adults - everyone liked it
The favorite beach in Phuket. Secluded, you can find shade, which is important in this heat. It's also a godsend for snorkeling between rocks: lots of beautiful fish, more than 10 species.
It's a very beautiful beach. We were in 23, it was just great. There are already a lot of people this year, and many boats are parked right next to the shore, occupying a significant part of the bathing area. As it is, the beach itself is very beautiful.
To be honest, it's not the best beach in Phuket.
When you go down, it looks good, but when you find yourself on the beach, not everything is so great.
of the cons: these are the stones that are in the sand
- if the tide is out, it becomes more dangerous to swim.
In some places on the beach, it even becomes impossible to swim with stones.
There are no sun beds, no umbrellas, if the scorching sun is already in the afternoon you will not go anywhere in the shade - only if you sit in a cafe in the forest.
Also, in the evening, leaving this beach without a personal car or bike is almost not an option - since taxi drivers do not accept orders from here.
Phuket has more beautiful beaches and more comfortable ones. This beach is not something special or a beach worth returning to.
Beautiful beach , clean sand, warm +32, warm water, Thai people are friendly , cocktails, smoothies, juices, coconuts , all kinds of food . Cafe by the sea, you can eat something.
The beach is beautiful, there are a lot of people, you can eat, there is a cafe, the descent is short but steep, a good place for those who like to swim with fish. There is a shadow .
The beach charmed me with its view, a calm, uncrowded place for relaxation and pleasure of body and soul! We arrived at the beach by car, there is a paid parking 100b per car, it's worth it, you won't regret coming there.
It's small, there's a cafe, some kind of construction site is underway, and you can watch fish in the sea, but not much. The shade
is only from the trees. Steep descent to the beach. It's too hot, there's no parking.
Banana Beach is located in the north of Phuket Island between Bang Tao and Naitong beaches. You can get to it by car, or by bike, or boats bring tourists from other areas. The water is clear, transparent, and many people in masks admire the underwater world. There are beach cafes and you can get Thai massage.
You can get there by taxi(InDrive) The density of tourists is normal, there is enough space for everyone. There are palm trees where you can hide from the sun.Of course, it's better to come in the morning.
Class 👍 the only negative is plankton biting there❌ and everything is so chic and simple
It's not the first time we've had a vacation 🥰 you won't be the last🤣 you need to go there at least once in your life🚨
There used to be a "secret" beach where there weren't that many people. Now they are bringing boats and the road has been laid directly to the beach (in February everything was dug up). The water is still clean and beautiful, but the people are like in Anapa in the summer.
It's a very cool beach. Clear water with beautiful fish. From the shore no more than 50 meters from the shore and there are already flocks of beautiful fish.
We advise you to arrive before lunch while there are few boats with vacationers. But even after lunch there is a great atmosphere.
There is a shop with rental masks, fins. There is food, cold drinks. There is a massage, but we did not use it.
For photos of some on the beach, you need to arrive no later than 08.00
One of the disadvantages is that the equipment needs to be left on the road, and then you need to go down to the beach. Parking is only possible on the far side of the beach.
A nice small beach, with sand, which has larger grains of sand than everywhere else, the transparency of the water is good and there are a lot of fish, which is cool when you dive in a mask and if you go into the forest you can take a picture on a stream with a small waterfall)
The perfect beach! Not too big, few people (October 2023), very beautiful. You can not lie around all day, but climb around the neighborhood (in shoes!).
Cafe on the beach: delicious, food prices are completely sane (Tom yam, in my opinion, 170 baht), beer is expensive (0.33 - 80 baht). The hostess of the cafe is very attentive, monitors everything that happens on the beach, a stranger to your things will definitely not go unnoticed, checked)))
Of the minuses: there are rocks on the coastline, if the ocean is worried, you have to be careful, but it did not cause us discomfort.
The beach is in a relatively accessible location. We got to it by bike from Nai Yang, it turned out to be about 6 km. The beach is small and surrounded by rocks on both sides. There is a small cafe on the shore where you can enjoy various drinks and cook food on coals. A very quiet and beautiful place.
Great beach. Clean water, full of fish ( snorkeling), there are a couple of cafes where you can have a great meal and drink. It is not a very convenient descent to the beach. There is no parking at all. It is convenient to sail there by boat from Guy Ton Beach. They'll pick you up there in the morning and back in the evening. Masks can be bought or rented at the cafe. I liked. There are people. But I won't say that it's a crowd. There are no sun beds, etc.
A small beach. By bike 27km from Patong or taxi. There is a cafe. But it is necessary to descend 70 meters down the slope, the soil and tree roots are difficult for some. You can visit it once (like you were there),
In 2023, there was a wonderful beach without people. You and nature. But in 2025, there's nowhere to even sit down, but there's paid parking downstairs. It costs pennies
The beach is beautiful, the water is clear and warm. A beautiful place to relax and take photos 📷 numerous palm trees, white sand and turquoise water . A cozy little beach. Entering the water is gradual. I advise you to visit this beach!
A wonderful beach! Beautiful sunsets, clear water in season, it's nice to swim and look at the fish. A good massage for 300 baht. There is a bar and a toilet with a bucket :)
Of all the beaches I've been to, banana beach has sunk into my soul. A really gorgeous place with amazing views. But the downside is that you can only get there by car or bike. Then go down from the road to the beach.it may be difficult for some)
Great beach, sparsely populated, clear clear water, beautiful place for photos. There are no sun loungers and sun beds on the beach, there is a cafe. We liked it. We rode a bike from Patong.
Nice beach away from the hustle and bustle. Super in winter! In the off-season in September, there are big waves, it is uncomfortable to swim. There are no toilets and sun beds and this can be an inconvenience.
