For the price offered, an excellent hotel for budget travelers, courteous staff, rooms are cleaned on request, but very well, linen and towels were changed every 2 days. We left a small tip, so even the maid washed our dirty sneakers. The breakfasts are normal, there is enough before lunch. I really liked the interior, everything is in the style of Ikea, original for the hotel. The room has a TV with the ability to watch Youtube, air conditioning, I was pleased with the presence of a kitchenette right in the room, considering the prices in the cafe, it helped a lot to cook by yourself. Also, I did not even expect hot water in the room, since in many warm countries it is not available in hotels. But she is here, which was a pleasant surprise! There is a lovely terrace upstairs, and we went there to spend our evenings. No repairs or noisy trucks were noticed under the windows.the owner of the hotel is a pleasant person, like all the people at the reception and in the kitchen. The beach is not far away, there are many shops, cafes, pharmacy, car rental nearby.in general, for us, as for people who wanted to see a beautiful sea with a great beach, without paying 5 salaries for it, this option became excellent!
A disgusting hotel. I don't advise anyone to live there. This house calls itself a hotel, although it does not have any licenses from the Government of the Dominican Republic for the right to conduct business. And there is not a single sanitary certificate confirming compliance with global sanitary standards. This house belongs to a criminal Dominican family. The house is located right on the road where heavy trucks drive all night, so it's impossible to sleep at all. And dust flies into the windows from the road so that they cannot be opened at all. All the glass in the windows is covered with a thick layer of dirt from the road. There is a fenced-in garbage dump next to the house, which is cleaned 1 time a week. At an air temperature of + 28, the garbage is terribly rotting and the stench is unbearable. The hotel is cleaned ONLY for tips. Without tips that need to be paid in advance, no one will clean your room. Bedbugs live in mattresses in beds. If you don't turn on the air conditioner, they crawl out of the mattresses, bite and smell terrible. None of the staff speaks Russian. The maids speak Spanish. Only the receptionist knows English, and then she uses a translator on her phone. The rooms have dirt and old torn towels. A very old man of about 60 years old, or maybe more, by the look of Spanish origin, all gray-haired and very thin, calls himself the owner of this house. He speaks a little Russian because he lives with a Slavic-looking girl 30 years younger than him. The girl calls herself the wife of the hotel owner. The girl speaks Russian, but appears at the hotel 2-3 times a week. A girl of very easy behavior and smelling of alcohol. The nature of the relationship of this married couple with such an age difference does not arouse respect. The owner of this house speaks very rudely, emotionally and disrespectfully. He does not change his clothes and does not take care of his appearance. I wore the same shirt for 5 days in a row. Very sloppy. Ants are crawling in the dining room. Next to the hotel in the daytime and even in the evening, when guests want to relax, the owner almost every day carries out repairs and construction work (welding, opening walls, etc.). A company of Spanish-Negro construction workers arrives, who simultaneously drink alcoholic beverages and pretend to work. But in fact, they sell drugs. I do not advise ANYONE to live in this hotel. This is a real farce with bedbugs and ants.
3 stars for the location and staff, and I would put 2. The hotel has deteriorated significantly in 3 years. It used to be clean, everything worked. Nobody watches the plumbing in the rooms, cockroaches. I don't recommend it.
