We had a vacation with my wife in Abkhazia, in Pitsunda.
I needed a car for 2 days to travel to local attractions.
I had experience in similar cases only in the form of carsharing in my hometown)
Therefore, it was scary to take a car in another country, to put it mildly.
In 2GIS, Yandex for the request "rent a car Pitsunda" there were just a few options, and there was an option with Timur.
I contacted him, found out the conditions, clarified a few points, and asked about the relevance of the price. An adequate and competent answer was received for everything)
The car is being inspected and a contract is signed near the temple on the central square, where Timur took my wife and me and drove us, although it took us 5 minutes to walk))
After inspecting the car (we took a Honda Fit 1.5l), by the way, the car is in excellent condition, signed a contract and we listened to a brief briefing on the car, what is and is not allowed, where and what kind of fuel to refuel, where to wash the car after renting to put it back, and most importantly, the subtleties of relations with local guys from Traffic police. And this was very useful and came in handy literally the next day!
The right steering wheel did not scare me at all, because we have enough of it on the roads in Siberia))

This year we went on vacation to Abkhazia with a small child, decided to rent a car, and it was a very successful decision. Freedom and detachment from the place, the opportunity to see many places with a small child, go to the best beaches, all the necessary things are at hand. It should be borne in mind that in Abkhazia it is difficult with child seats, as the taxi driver who drove us from the airport told us: "in Abkhazia, they do not use child seats" :). We were given a child safety seat, though on the second day, they are in demand :) And so, everything is super: quickly - after an hour's call, a car was brought to us, Timur - a polite, gallant host explained everything, just in case, even told about possible setups / divorces from local traffic cops, told where and how to get to a great beach in the resort area of Pitsunda. The car is clean, economical. In 5 days, we rolled 600 km, refueled for less than
3000 rubles. Life hack: it's not very good with the service in cafes and restaurants in Abkhazia, but if you choose "where to eat" on Yandex maps and put a filter on restaurants with a rating of at least 4.9, you will get to a good restaurant, a little more expensive than in others, but delicious and the service is on the level! Hint: Yandex maps very often do not show the optimal route - to turn around, maps can show a 10-15 km circle, and there is an opportunity to turn around after 500 meters:)
