A nice hotel with a beautiful area near the airport. A pleasant rather isolated beach. They take you to the neighboring bay of boy Bay for snorkeling.
The disadvantages are the rather spicy food in the main restaurant and the almost complete absence of umbrellas on the beach. During the wind, they are removed and you sunbathe instantly. Well, the main thing is not the most tourist place on the island - all other things being equal, I would now choose La Mora or something near it. For some reason, while relaxing in this hotel, you do not get the feeling that you are somewhere on a tropical island.
Good afternoon!
I would like to share my impressions of staying at your hotel during my vacation.
The first impression was wonderful, I really liked the way I was greeted, offered a drink, a refreshing towel and very quickly checked into the room.
Excellent territory, lots of greenery and everything is very well maintained.
I was also pleased with the compliment from the hotel, wine and fruits.
Well, now let's move on to the negative aspects:
From the very beginning, I asked the reception staff to let me know if it would be possible to move into a room with a sea view, after which I was repeatedly reminded and no reaction a week later.
On the third day, I took a beef kebab at dinner and it turned out to be absolutely raw, the manager just offered to replace it!
I lost my appetite and just went to my room.
The next day, I left early in the morning for the whole day, and on my return I saw that the room was not cleaned, garbage in baskets, dirty towels, the bed was not made. I went personally to the reception and informed them. The room was cleaned only the next day! Speaking of the quality of the towels, we couldn't safely bring an old worn towel with holes yet.
Also, bath accessories, ear sticks and the like have not been replenished for a week...
There was no bottle opener in the room.
I understand that my fare includes only breakfast and dinner
But if everything is clear with the mini-bar, there is a menu with prices, then when I come to dinner and see wine on the table, I understand this as something that you can take it, and as a result, I am billed 750 rupees for half a glass of wine. Okay, alcohol, the next day I asked for a softdrike and again a bill of 250 rupees
By the way, the price in the mini bar is 175 rupees.
I have never encountered such a thing in any hotel, even in a lower class, always at least one glass of wine or one soft drink is included in the dinner. And considering the cost of staying at your hotel and after reading the reviews on trip Adviser
I thought that I would go on vacation without worries and get a service worthy of the level of a five-star hotel, attention to guests, responsiveness of staff and quick response of management to requests from guests.
On the day of departure, the island was closed as Hurricane Eleanor, the third category, was approaching, while it is forbidden to leave the dwelling or shelter and is punishable by a huge fine. But the next day, the hotel billed for accommodation, allegedly at a special price of 375 Euros, but online it was possible to check into the hotel even cheaper and in a room of a higher category.
In general, the above nuances were very upset, especially the attitude of senior management managers, there are no complaints about ordinary staff.
If you've been to Anantara Digu, you should know that Anantara Iko has nothing to do with it except the name. I describe the details: 1. The ocean is not at all for swimming, deep and huge waves. No one swims in the ocean. There is dirt, napkins, and debris in the bushes along the shoreline of the beach.
2. Upon arrival, there was water in the kettle, there was water in the iron from previous tenants. There is a hole in the middle of my son's pillowcase, it was cleaned every day and the pillowcase was not changed.
3. There were huge sticky stains on the floor lamp, which were washed away after the scandal.
4. The scales are not working in the room (the battery is dead), there is no clock either. It is impossible to watch the bill on TV, it is not updated, there are zeros.
5. There is no work schedule at the store.
6. There is no map of the hotel, there is no navigation. The girl quickly walked through the territory upon arrival, very quickly told the opening hours. They didn't remember anything. According to the info on the TV, there are only restaurants for lunch, in reality, Sea Fire Salt does not work for lunch. When asked to give us a hotel card, we were told that there was no card and it was our card. Seriously? To find out what and where I constantly have to go to the reception to ask?
7. Salt in the restaurant must be constantly asked, the salt shaker on the table with damp salt does not work. While they bring salt in bags, the whole breakfast is cold.
8. Shampoos are updated like this: empty bottles to almost empty ones. We just got into a scandal and wrote to the hotel manager, as we often went to the spa and we had to wash off the oil after the procedures. 5 ml of shampoo and 5 ml of balsam in bottles. I was furious.
9. There are probably 5 bicycles in the hotel.... Everyone goes asking and they are not there. Moreover, due to the lack of a map, it is not clear at all where you can take a ride.
10. There are 4 foot towels and 3 huge ones (this is for 3 adults.
11. Massage has nothing to do with massage in Digu. It's a little weak. But the sale of cosmetics in the spa is very intrusive. Just a few pieces of expensive creams or something else are being imposed very strongly.
12. During a cyclone (this is a common occurrence on the island. 2-3 times a month) there was heavy rain and wind, the minibar was not replenished, even water was not brought to the room. Women do not work on this day, they stay at home with their children. The minibar stopped being replenished 2 days before departure, tin.
13. There are no free drinks for dinner, not even water. But paid drinks will be offered 7 times for dinner.
14. Juices for breakfast are mashed potatoes made from ground fruits, diluted with water. For lunch, only a la carte, according to which you can choose burgers, such as shawarma, and in one Bon Manzur restaurant you can take medium-sized rolls and Thai noodles.
15. The keys suddenly stopped working 4 times in 8 days. We come from dinner and cannot get into the room, we return to the reception to reprogram the keys.
16. There are no "do not disturb" door signs, so the maids knock constantly at the very moment when you lay down to rest. It's a constant guest feeling....
17. Scratched glasses in the room.
18. I asked for an ashtray on the balcony 2 times and did not receive it.
In general, I am very disappointed. It would be better to add 2 thousand dollars and go, as usual, to the Maldives to Anantara Digu. There's aerobatics, here it's just 3 stars.
I feel at home there, I felt very welcome here.
