I advise everyone to visit the Iberian (Anakopian) fortress...It takes a little effort to climb, but it offers unrealistically gorgeous views of the new Athos monastery, mountains and the sea. Of course, photos don't convey all the beauty you need to watch live

A place worth visiting.It is located near the New Athos cave.You can walk, but it will be difficult for untrained people.The height difference is small, but the road to the fortress is not easy, sometimes rocky.Along the road on the right and left there are beautiful gardens, in which in winter there are trees whose branches are strewn with tangerines, oranges and lemons.Cows and horses walk along the road, however, as everywhere in Abkhazia.You can get to the ticket office by car.Entrance is paid.The view from the fortress is beautiful, beautiful photos are obtained.There is a spring near the fortress, you can drink water from it.There is a very steep staircase in the tower itself when climbing up, you need to be very careful.
