The hotel is nice, the rooms are beautiful undoubtedly - perhaps this is the only plus.
Of the cons: the hotel is located in the wilderness , there are no shops at all , the food in the cafe is tasteless and costs like in a Moscow restaurant, the beach is wild and with large pebbles (it is inconvenient to enter the water), eternally hungry cats and a dog walk around the territory, which are obviously not fed at all or are fed very poorly, excursions from alaku they are 4 times more expensive than in Sukhum.
Probably such a vacation in Alaka is for an amateur , but personally I did not like it , I left there ahead of time .

The hotel itself is very nice. Cozy and stylish rooms. The cafe is not bad, the food is normal. The economy room is of course in the basement and dark without any sun, so it's damp, but not so hot. The staff is diligent, clean.

If you need a blind corner with min. people and you are by car and you can always go anywhere, to Sukhum nearby, to the sights, etc. - you are here. But if you are without a car, you are trapped!

The magnificent hotel is located in Babushara village (Sukhum), 100 meters from the sea, near a geothermal spring. Friendly staff. Great room. We were vacationing with a family of 4 people. I liked everything. There is a cafe and parking on site. We ate only in this cafe, the dishes are excellent. The menu includes both national dishes and dishes from other countries. I really liked the local khachapuri. The prices in the cafe are democratic, so khachipur 800 gr -400 r. There are sun beds on the sandy beach, there are not many people, there were no more than 15 people during the rest. Thank you so much for the rest.they were not afraid to let a child of 8 years walk alone. The locals are friendly. In the neighboring houses you can buy from local fruits to ice cream. There is a small shop 20 meters away. It is better to get to the hotel from the airport by following the signs, rather than using the navigator. We will definitely come there again.

I was here for the second time, the first time was five years ago. Nothing changes in the hotel, everything is only dilapidated, the hotel has been in need of renovation for a long time. The food is beyond praise, everything is very tasty, thank you very much! The staff is attentive, they immediately try to solve any problem. Beach - the sea can be reached in five minutes, but there is no beach as such. There is garbage on the shore. The atmosphere is homely, the staff is happy to see you and are trying to solve all the problems.

We had a rest in late June and early July 2023. A family with children of different ages.
I write the facts, because it's up to everyone to decide the pros or cons.
1. The hotel. 5+. Stylish building, rooms are designed in the same style. A very remote area. Daily cleaning service. Clean and tidy. We lived on the 3rd floor - perfect. The first floor is for those who avoid the sun, always in the shade, on 2-3 floors it is sunny part of the day, which is what we needed.
2. Staff, 5+. Thank you, Madina, Kristina and Lana, who brightened up our vacation. Always friendly, with a smile and ready to help!
3. Nutrition. It is important to understand that there are no shops or cafes nearby, those if you are at the hotel all the time, that is, you can only go to the cafe at the hotel. There is a good choice for breakfast, everyone can choose according to their taste. Lunch and dinner menus. And here it's 50/50. The cook is clearly a person of mood and the same dish can turn out, or it can be very mediocre. The menu has been boring for 10 days (we had dinner at the hotel 7-8 times).
4. Location. 30 min by car from Sukhum, the main thing is to understand that this is a village, cows, goats, horses, pigs everywhere outside the hotel. You wake up with roosters :) children are ecstatic about all these animals, a colorful place. Complete relaxation and relaxation from the hustle and bustle of the city.
5. The sea. Close, 4-5 village houses and you are on the shore. Only pebbles without a strip of sand. The beach is not equipped from the word at all, it is abandoned and only sun loungers are available. With a calm sea, you can still swim, with a little excitement it is better not to go into the sea.
We found a great beach at the entrance to Sukhum, 25-30 minutes by car, Sunny beach, sand, pebbles only at the entrance, all amenities and a great cafe. Although all the locals recommend Mokka beach (it is 500 m further than Sunny beach).

A great vacation! Great cuisine! Hospitable hosts! There is a private garden with magnolias, bananas, hydrangeas and others (whose names I do not know)! The sea is 200-300 m away, the beach is almost wild in a good sense of the term, sand and pebbles with boulders, there are hotel sun beds! You can go on all kinds of excursions! Nearby (within walking distance) there is a thermal spring (for many diseases), you can even order a bath with blue eucalyptus! There is a conning (which we never got to)! We are very happy with our vacation and we advise everyone! We want more!!!😀

We were vacationing in Alaka in the first half of September 2021. My husband, my daughter and I are 2.5 years old. The place is quiet, the interior is beautiful, and the house looks very nice and harmonious from the outside, surrounded by a green garden. The room is on the 2nd floor, cleaned almost every day, linen and towels were also changed frequently. In this regard, everything is just great. Clean, cozy, comfortable. The mattresses are comfortable. High-quality bed linen. There is a refrigerator in the room, but no kettle. We didn't turn on the TV, we don't watch it. Electricity and water were turned off from 6 a.m. to 7 a.m. It's not critical for us. The conder worked properly and saved us. Thanks to the hosts, they let me into the building where the reception is located when I needed fast Internet, because work did not let me go even on vacation. It is very close to the beach in a straight line. The beach is wild, but we liked it. There are wooden sun beds. Cows are walking, their tortillas are visible, but this did not bother us at all. Hot springs are nearby. Private Parking in a closed area. Security cameras. Now to the cons. The first and most important one is the cafe at the hotel. The choice is very meager, the prices are sky-high, but the food is not delicious. Breakfast is nothing. But for lunch and dinner, I had to order either rice or buckwheat porridge. Khachapuri was taken a couple of times, nothing. We ordered a barbecue 2 times. The first time was just divine, and the second time was all dry and a little burnt. The chicken of tobacco is dry-dried. My husband took borscht a couple of times. It's hard to call it borscht. But it's good that at least there are no consequences. Once we ordered a salad, I think it was called Hearty. My husband's digestive tract refused to digest it. And we didn't experiment with food anymore in Alaka, we lived out the rest of our vacation on porridge, and on dry rations (bread, cookies, yoghurts). We were not alone in being so "picky". The second disadvantage: a broken playground. In the photo in the Booking, there is a cozy, semi-makeshift playground in a green garden. They bought it. But when we went in there, the hair on my head started to move. Everything, except for one house, was destroyed. There were nails sticking out somewhere...I rent a star for a cafe and a playground. PS: The staff are generally pleasant.

On the plus side, the hotel and rooms are good
There are no people, the beach is empty, if you walk along the shore you can walk to the beautifully overgrown abandoned buildings.
Of the cons, the hotel is far from everything. It takes half a day to get from the border, and it is very expensive. There are no shops or pharmacies within walking distance. Taxis are expensive. You can only eat in the cafe at the hotel - and there it is very expensive in Moscow, not very tasty, the menu is extensive, but everything is always "not now". DISGUSTING khachapuri with rancid, not fresh cheese. And there are no cafes or even shops anymore. The lack of competition in this regard does not greatly benefit the restaurant.
There is a full zoo outside the hotel, dogs run along the beach and even in the cafe at the hotel, they are terribly intrusive, they climb into bags, things on the beach, lie down on towels and they cannot be driven away. Horror. Cows and bulls that are scary to walk past on the beach. A huge number of their tortillas are everywhere. It is impossible to walk in the evening and not get into trouble.
In general, you can live here for 3 days, but no more for anything. We refused to stay here and went to a wonderful hotel in the center of Sukhum for the second part of our vacation. There is no desire to be here again.

Everything is delicious, but there are not enough fruits and vegetables. There is a parking lot, you can come by car. It is better to live on the 2nd floor, on the ground floor, due to the large amount of greenery, it is damp and quite dark, but in the heat, it is probably good. The rooms have air conditioning, shower and bathroom, refrigerator. Drinking water, boiling water for tea and dishes should be requested in the kitchen. It is inconvenient that there is no kettle in the room. Early in the morning, the electricity is turned off for about an hour, so the water stops coming in. It's inconvenient if you're leaving early in the morning. The staff is nice, helps to solve problems. You can book excursions, you will be picked up directly from the hotel and brought here. The place is quiet, rural, near the sea. It will appeal to those who are tired of the hustle and bustle of the city, who want to relax in nature in peace and quiet. But there are problems with transportation. A regular bus goes to Sukhum once a day early in the morning, at other times only a taxi. You can negotiate with the locals, they work as a cab driver. In September 2021 The standard fee to Sukhum is 1 thousand rubles.

I was in Abkhazia for the first time, my impressions are the most vivid. The hotel is family-run and cozy. The atmosphere is very friendly. We were generally accepted at 6.30 for check-in (we did not wait until 12.00). Other guests were also settled at night. There is a restaurant in the hotel itself - the cuisine is gorgeous (the children only ate carbonara, caesar and a boat with cheese). We are more Abkhazian dishes! There are gazebos, barbecue areas on the territory, we fried our own barbecue. The sea is 2 minutes away. The purest! The children bought up for the year ahead! If there are 15-20 people on the whole beach, then this is already a lot))) When I left, we hugged the managers: Irina and Madina, as if they were family! There is a Soul and positive energy in this hotel! If to Abkhazia, then only here.

We had a rest with my husband in Alaka from 20.06 to 27.06. I really liked it. Thanks a lot to Irina, even before my arrival, I was always in touch - It was very important for me. We arrived at night, we were met by Madina, the sweetest and most sympathetic person. She fed us, showed us everything. In general, the family is very pleasant, responsive and friendly. The staff girls are also very nice.
Now about the hotel: If you want to take a break from the hustle and bustle, in a quiet place by the sea, then this is in Alaka. An empty beach, nature, birds are singing all the time. The village is not big, the people are friendly. We went to the hot spring, a boy works there, tells everything how and what is the right thing to do. The sea is the purest.
We were in Abkhazia for the first time, drove around the city, and realized that there is nothing to do in the central cities, or rather, if anything, but only if you are ready for the city beach, where everything is in a row and to constant traffic.

We booked this hotel for the New Year holidays, through some website, what was our surprise when we arrived, but we had not even heard about our reservation... They reassured us, said that no matter what, they would settle us. The room, as I wanted, was given a two-room one, it was cold, but we turned on the split system, and additionally gave a triple gun, as well as blankets were very warm. There were no problems with the light, there was a boiler in the room, so there was always hot water. In four days, we had our towels changed once, and the garbage was removed every day. Now about the food: the food is just wonderful, homemade, everything was very tasty, you can just lick your fingers. There is a tangerine garden on the territory, they ate too many tangerines, they also took them with them, the sea is nearby, 200-300 meters, no more. There is a spring near the hotel. We had a rest from December 29 to January 6, 2021. I liked Everything!!! The location of the hotel, in a quiet place near the sea! A large clean area! Cozy, clean, bright rooms! We ordered khachapuri .in 40 years of my life, I have not eaten such disgusting khachapuri, and they brought them laying on top of each other, it killed me altogether! We had a rest in Alaka in June 2021. The hotel is located about 20 km from Sukhum. At first it seemed a little far, but then during the rest we realized that this was not a hindrance and this has its advantages! Upon arrival at the hotel, we were greeted and escorted to our room and we went to dinner, the food in the hotel cafe is incomparable, everything is very tasty! The staff is very helpful, especially Larisa, who will always tell you where and how. In general, she's doing great! The hotel has a large garden with a Playground, gazebos, a barbecue area and just benches in the shade of trees! The beach is 5 minutes from the hotel, there are sun beds on the beach and you can take an umbrella at the reception. We took a taxi from the hotel to Sukhum (there is a bus once a day, it seems). The hotel also organized excursions for us, one of which started from the blue lake and up to the alpine meadow where we met a bear (with cubs). There is also a thermal spring with 3 pools located next to the hotel in 10-15 minutes on foot. There is a shop in the village, the choice is small, but everything you need is there! In general, if you want peace and quiet rest, then only in Alaka, as there you can relax from the hustle and bustle of the city! Almost three months have passed since my return, and the emotions from the hotel and Abkhazia as a whole have still been preserved and what they write is devastation and so on, perhaps, but for me Abkhazia is the place that I want to return to again! Abkhazia is the country of my soul!

After reading all the reviews, I decided to write my own...... My husband, my two children (7 and 1.5) and I had a vacation in 2020. We arrived on the same day that the borders were opened after the pandemic. More precisely, we arrived at night! And what was our surprise when the owners of the hotel themselves, together with Irina, met us and set the table themselves!!!! Everything was like at home!!!!!
The staff is responsive, everything is ready at the first call:what is cleaning , what is the kitchen!!!!!
That's probably worth saying more about the kitchen than about anything. These are insanely delicious dishes, which then add a lot of kilograms, because it is impossible not to finish them)))))) Kristina the cook is a big smart girl, and Larisa -she set the tables for us (Lorik is our favorite) - is generally beyond praise!!!! Always in a good mood, with a smile !!!
The sea is within walking distance, there is no one on the beach, there are few people. Dolphins often swam in the mornings !!! The beach is pebbly, so I highly recommend slippers for swimming.
In this place, rest for body and soul, definitely NOT for breakaway and discos))))

There were problems with dinner, more precisely, I was repeatedly refused to cook shish kebab, then there is no meat, then there are no coals, then there is no one to cook, and a couple of times I was told that we would not cook shish kebab for you alone. R.S. raw meat on the market costs 600 rubles per kg. In the cafe, the price is per 100g. It has grown to 180₽. I decided it was a small thing...after all, I really liked the place itself, the beauty, the silence and the empty beach! It's worth a lot) I will return to the evening barbecue, one fine evening returning from the sea, ordering a barbecue and being refused, I ordered with disappointment, I don't remember what, just to have dinner. And then a company of 6 people arrives. Who wants a barbecue just like me! And, oh gods! Unexpectedly for me, they accept an order for my eyes! I was surprised....Not to say anything! When ordering coffee in the morning, I had to wait, because first the administrators and waiters received coffee, and only after that the guests!!!! And it happened every morning. Well, the apogee of all this "hospitality" turned out to be shish kebab, grilled vegetables and khachapuri again. Early in the morning, before leaving for the tour, which took most of the day, I was asked to write in advance whether I would have dinner and what. I am a responsible person, on the way back, three hours before arrival, I wrote what I wanted and what time I would arrive. And she clarified that if there is no way to cook, I will stop at a cafe on the way and buy with me. But, they promised me; everything will be ready! And I was happy with the gorgeous tour and in anticipation of a delicious dinner I was driving home)
Arriving at the appointed time, the waitress was very surprised by my question; where is my dinner? Then there was the "theater of the absurd", they began to force me to order something else, because I would not get a barbecue. At first, I was told that I had not ordered in advance, then that there was no one to cook the meat, then that there were no coals. I had to express myself uncensorably for a few minutes and only after that a man appeared cooking a barbecue. It's happened! But it's not as sweet as I hoped! On the way, it turned out that there are only enough coals for meat, there are no vegetables, period! Take fresh vegetables. If you want a salad, you just want to cut it, was the waitress's answer. In general, dinner was almost on time, almost what I wanted, almost without scandal. Everything is for your favorite guests.
The day before departure, I went to pay for the room and asked the receptionist to still make a discount for fish and a spoiled barbecue evening. To which they replied; you can't be so petty... We've given you such a big discount on the room. Which surprised me once again, because all the guests paid the same price for the rooms as me. As a result, according to the administrator Irina, I am a petty, dishonest bazaar woman! And they don't want to see me anymore! It's amazing to think that after such an attitude, they will want to return to them.

Village. Cows walk, it smells like manure, the beach is not well maintained. The rooms are decent, the cleaning is of high quality. The menu is unchanged, I don't want anything in the second week. The shops are very far away. But there are soy sources nearby.

The owners of the hotel have changed this year! Unfortunately, the changes are not for the better! (I've been going there for years!) There were many complaints about the work of the staff and administration. The atmosphere of trust and serenity has disappeared (which is extremely rare in Abkhazia). We used to come here as close friends, we felt at home! I don't know what will happen next! It seems that the hotel has worked out this season by inertia, on old customers. It feels like a song ... strangers live in Arkasha's apartment. Will I go there again? I don't know! :(

I didn't like it. The beach is just terrible, mud, cow cakes, a bunch of branches and iron, sun beds are broken. The hotel itself is more or less. There is no half of the menu in the cafe. During the entire stay, I have never been able to order a barbecue, and the prices are like in a restaurant in Moscow. There is not a single store in the area, and the mineral cafe costs 100 rubles.
