It is located on top of a cliff with stunning views of the white city of Lindos, Rhodes Island, the sea and the heart-shaped bay. The temple and the staircase are perfectly preserved. The entrance is paid, the ascent to the Acropolis is rather slippery (it is especially difficult to descend them later, tourists walk slowly)

A great place for a photo session with a view of 2 bays. one with snow-white sand, the other in the form of a heart with a rocky bottom. The museum is magnificent, there are signs with information (English), we were on our own without a group, we went up to the museum on donkeys, the children were delighted. Children under 14 do not pay for tickets

Lindos is a city with a history of 3 thousand years. Actually, the acropolis is located here. The walls of the knight's castle and the ruins of an early Christian church also rise above the city. It is best to go to Lindos in the morning or late in the evening, with a good supply of water. It is difficult to hide from the strong sun in the ancient city. So it's worth hedging your bets. To see all the sights of the city, this bizarre mix of eras, you need to walk from the gates of Lindos to its top point. This is a long way, which, by the way, can be overcome on a donkey. The same road leading to the acropolis is very beautiful. On the way there are stone fountains that are still filled with water, white houses with courtyards and taverns where you can try something delicious Greek. A great view of the city opens from the top of Lindos. You can stand here for hours, looking at the sights. St. Peter's Bay is on the horizon. Below you are three thousand years of history with an acropolis, a church and a castle. The Acropolis, the second largest after Athens, is known for the ruins of the ancient temple of Apollo Pythias (2nd century BC), the marble amphitheater of oratory and the Pythian Stadium, where the ancient games in honor of Apollo were held.
