We stayed at this hotel for two years in a row. The hotel is on different levels, we lived at the very top, we walk up the stairs every day, and in the heat, let's say it's not the best event. It is simply not possible to sleep at night with the windows open, since the clubs are open until 4-5 in the morning and who is louder means cooler. There were a lot of Turks relaxing in the canteen during the holidays and there were huge queues. I didn't have to expect anything special from the food, since it's a threesome, usually chicken, no fish at all, watermelons from fruits, oranges once. There are always a lot of people by the pool, usually Turks themselves. But this hotel probably has the most amazing views!!
The food is meager. In general, you can eat, but there is not much choice
The area is very beautiful
The rooms are not chic. Mine stank of sewage for a long time, it only disappeared on the last day of my stay there
In the evening, sometimes there were entertainments
And so there is nothing to do there
But the area is gorgeous
Solid 3-4, in Turkey they do not differ from each other.
Location: not for the elderly and families with young children, the hotel is located on a mountain, and it is very difficult to return from the beach or go to lunch /dinner in the heat, but all this is compensated by the beautiful views. The hotel does not have its own beach, it takes 10-15 minutes to walk to the beach, there is a free beach, there are fees from 100 lira per person. We chose a paid beach, 100 liras per person, you can order something to eat (pizza 200 liras) drinks (cola 80 lire)
Beach: sand and small pebbles, in the morning the water is crystal clear, after lunch it is already muddy from the sand, but it is comfortable to swim. The beach is constantly blown by the wind, so it is comfortable despite the heat. During strong winds and waves, the mud is washed away.
Meals: breakfast is meager, lunch and dinner are better. For lunch and dinner, a hot side dish of 1-2 types, chicken meat, and meatballs / fish. From vegetables, tomatoes, cucumbers, various lettuce, greens, olives, etc. Watermelons and oranges are made from fruits.
Drinks: drinks of average quality, in 10 days we took beer and Cola 2-3 times, you can drink it.
Bodrum/Gumbet: a youth resort, not for the elderly, an abundance of nightclubs and cafes.
If you choose between Afitos and Afitos city, definitely choose Afitos
Excellent views of the sea, mountains, the road to the Center of Bodrum, the atmosphere of a Greek town, polite Staff.A restaurant without queues . Food without the luxury of 5-star hotels, but always fresh and delicious.
We rested from August 8 to August 18, the hotel is for three, of course, no one expected more. It takes 40 minutes to get to the airport.
We were checked in early, at one o'clock in the afternoon, one suitcase was carried, and I carried the other myself)
The room is normal, with a balcony, the suitcase peddler was persistently waiting for a tip and was not happy with $ 3, disgust was painted on his face (well, not to give him $ 5, although he probably wouldn't have been happy with them either!). There is more than enough toilet paper :), the shower, the faucet are working fine, there is no smell of sewage.
😋The food was excellent! The only and huge disadvantage is mega huge queues (you will definitely be idle for 10 minutes), because there is only one stand with hot food, 5 dishes, one of which is soup, there are 2 side dishes and usually there are 2 meat dishes (chicken, beef, sometimes fish). Salads are so-so, it's good that there are just vegetables, everyone can put what they want. Excellent desserts, there are both for lunch and dinner. Of fruits (berries), only watermelon. The breakfast was quite poor, even very poor. Pancakes were only 2 times during our stay, boiled eggs every day, omelette sometimes happens and sometimes not, there are vegetables, cereals. Excellent waiters who greet you, wish you a pleasant appetite, and may even speak Russian) thank you!
The room has a dirty air conditioner, I had to wash it, only the floors are washed in the room, the bed and towels were changed only when we left a tip (a week later), although I asked to change it more than once (by the way, they understand English, but not the cleaners, at the reception I think you can safely talk in English, but we didn't have to).
🌃In general, about Bodrum: a city of fun, so sleeping at night is a whole problem, it's very noisy, but it's definitely not about the hotel) We also had a room by the road, which is very noisy at night, because the roads are up and down, cars need a lot of effort to climb uphill. Music is playing by the pool until 23 pm. You can get to the city by bus, 15 lira per person, stop at the intersection to the left of the hotel, you can get there in 15 minutes.
🌊It takes 7-10 minutes to walk to the sea at a calm pace, the beach is quite dirty, in cigarette butts, but the sea is cleanest, there is a place on the beach where you can stay without a sunbed, because here it costs quite expensive (20 liras the sunbed itself, and then you are offered a lot more 🙄 150-200 liras a sunbed). The sea itself is quite cool, not like on the Antalya coast.
The pool is open from 8:00 to 18:00, a lifeguard sits by the pool, who does not follow the children, it says: do not jump, but they jump. The slide, as I understand it, works only one hour a day. There is a bar by the pool where they pour drinks, beer, they didn't take anything else, so I don't know what else there is.
There is an Internet connection at the reception, which works normally.
In principle, the hotel is normal, you can relax, but I won't come back here anymore)
