A large airport, a lot of military personnel, everything is clean, neat, we were 4 hours waiting for a transfer, calmly, everyone is friendly! All the peoples of the world saw it!
Judging by the numbering, there are at least 5 terminals at the Kuwait airport. T1 is just in the title picture, beautiful, in the form of a curved triangle.
But if you are flying with a low-cost airline Jazeera, then your way will pass through a small terminal T5. There are a couple of fast food cafes with unhurriedly working employees, a couple of toilets, most likely with queues and a wet floor (if you get to rush hour, you will see a huge number of pilgrims from CIS countries who are collectively transported through Kuwait and who wash their feet in washbasins in toilets).
In general, if you transit with Jazeera, it is better not to wait for any miracles from the airport and everything will be fine. Terminal T5 has several halls at different exits. If there are a lot of people in the hall at your exit (we had J4), then look at other halls - perhaps there is almost no one there (not always, but often) and you can safely wait for the start of boarding - just watch the scoreboard or listen to the announcements.
I was only in the transit zone: clean, all basic services are available — cafes, toilets, a modern waiting area, a small duty free, a small business lounge. When paying for services in foreign currency, the change is given in Kuwaiti dinars. There is an exchange office.
Smoking is allowed only in the smoking room of the business hall.
In duty free there are souvenirs, oriental sweets, a very basic selection of perfumes, there are local brands. We haven't seen any new collections. In general, everything is fine, but at a basic level.
