Service is good, menu is mainly Armenian food (which is excellent for tourists to try something local) courtyard is in shadow of the trees and even in sunny day you can find some relax here… and all these 5 minutes away from the coty centre.
There are places that make you come back, and then there are people who make you come back to those places. Albert the waiter is one of a kind, professional, witty, attentive and caring gentleman who did make sure we come back again and again! Welcome to Abovian 12! Delicious! Cozy! Authentic!
I didn’t like their attitude towards me as a client when I want to change seats in another place I see a lot of free tables, I ask the waiter - they are free, can I change seats, he says from the beginning yes and then the manager does not allow it because of the principle
A good and relatively inexpensive Armenian cafe in the very center of the city. It is not in the most convenient place — you will have to go through the gift shop, but due to such an unusual position, the atmosphere of the restaurant is pleasant and quiet — this is a big plus. The kitchen in the restaurant is open, you can see how the chefs cook. The waiters are friendly, speak Russian, and try to help. We took several dishes — the salad with basturma is delicious, the salad with matzo is not bad, but it seems that they did not put enough vegetables. The kebab is normal, without much flavor, but delicious. I would especially like to mention the desserts — they are excellent. The prices are not proletarian, more expensive than in many Moscow restaurants, but these prices are justified by the truth in HUGE portions — the salad is calmly divided into 3 people, desserts are also massive.
Of all the restaurants in the center of Yerevan, I recommend this one.
The atmosphere is 10 hinkaleks out of 10. A very beautiful place, which is located in the courtyard. The entrance through the souvenir shop adds to the entourage, as if into Armenian Narnia. The menu is dominated by national cuisine. All the dishes we ordered were delicious. Coffee lovers in our company appreciated the taste of the drink. There is no children's menu, but you can find items for a small child. There are vegetarian dishes. All the waiters are friendly and will help with the choice. The entourage certainly deserves special praise. A free-standing bar, a stage with carved instruments, a dovecote, a charming fountain (I can go on for a long time). And an art gallery. You can't smoke at the tables, you need to move to a separate place. The check is average in the city for a restaurant in the center. We spent 18,500 drams for 4 people (dish + drink).
The location and surroundings are beyond praise! Beautiful and colorful! For this, two stars (not 0). That's where the advantages end. We ordered three dishes - the dolma is ordinary, but being brutally hungry we ate with pleasure! Khachapuri in Adjarian style - could have been quite tasty if they hadn't driven whole eggs into it (there should only be yolks). Raw chicken protein is so much fun... Harisa was also quite good until her husband saw the bottom of the dishes and the juicy black hair on it. Thank you, we won't come again. The cost for three dishes together with the service amounted to 6710 AMD. It's not very budget-friendly for so-so food. Unfortunately, I didn't take a picture of the hair because my husband decided not to injure me with food and told me after.
A wonderful place both in winter and summer. In summer, the main space is on the terrace below, in winter - in the rooms and on the balconies above. Inexpensive, friendly, tasty, cozy, atmospheric, artistic. On the 1st floor there is a souvenir shop, on the 2nd floor there is an art gallery. I really liked this place
I really liked the place. We found out about him by chance thanks to the "Armenian Belmondo". The entrance is in the courtyard, passing through either a souvenir shop or an alcohol store. The food is varied, everything is very tasty, the portions are not huge, but large. I liked that tea is served in a cup with a teapot container, you can add boiling water. The waiter teases and jokes, creating a pleasant atmosphere. A full and hearty lunch for three people cost 25 thousand drams. Only pleasant impressions remained.
We came on the recommendation of the Belmondo guide. Very tasty mikado cake and coffee. Great atmosphere in the courtyard, friendly staff. They also sell souvenirs and take guided tours here, apparently to purchase these souvenirs. They didn't give me the change, it was a small thing, but it wasn't pleasant. From 5,000, 250 drams were supposed to be given back, which is about 60 rubles. As a pensioner, this is a significant amount for me.
A very cool place! The meat is the most tender (even chicken breast), salads are fresh, the wine is young and pleasant)
The order was accepted quickly, when fully planted, all the kebabs and stewed knuckle in wine were brought in 25 minutes, cool!
The waiters are obviously sewn up, but they do their job. They will tell you what is the most delicious, they will be served quickly, you do not need to wait for them, because they are always there.
It's very beautiful around! We were sitting under a vine on a sunny day and it was cool and fresh) nearby you can buy souvenirs, which is convenient.
Delicious, beautiful, atmospheric 10/10. A very pleasant place)
A wonderful place!
The most cozy atmosphere!
It's even amazing how simple it is in a fairy tale - you walk down the street of Yerevan with such an active movement, go into a souvenir shop and find yourself in a green oasis, a heavenly place!
It was very pleasant to relax and have a delicious lunch in such an unusual place.
The service is attentive and fast. The food is all freshly prepared and delicious!
I have a pleasant impression.
I will recommend it!
A wonderful place to visit if you happen to be in Yerevan. In one old building, at the address of the same name, there is a souvenir shop, a small local wine shop and a cozy restaurant with delicious cuisine. The restaurant has several halls, each of which is interesting in its own way, but I found the second floor very interesting, where you can experience the entire history of this ancient building.
It's stunningly beautiful. It's just a piece of paradise. The passage through the souvenir shop. Very tasty Armenian cuisine. I recommend taking a lamajo. Salads, lamb kebab are beyond praise. The place is suitable for a romantic dinner and for a family feast. Pigeons of heavenly beauty live in the courtyard and there is a small fountain.
A very cozy, quiet, wonderful place with the most unusual location in the city center! Unexpectedly)
Delicious varied food, a large assortment of wines!
Attentive and courteous staff, fast service!
I will recommend it to everyone)
The atmosphere is wonderful (location, courtyard). That's where the advantages ended.
A typical tourist destination.
Guides bring whole groups of foreign tourists here. One by one.
The food is terrible.
Unlike the establishments in Yerevan, the portions are scanty. There is one rice in the dolma.
Tjvjik is just a meager portion. I have never seen anything like this in Armenia.
Khachapuri in Adjarian - whole eggs were beaten in, not yolks.
If you try to explain that this is not how the dish is prepared, Karen's manager will manipulate the fact that the waiter will have to pay for this dish (why on earth?!).
All the blame for an improperly prepared dish will be shoved on anyone, just not on the responsibility of the institution.
A regular visitor of this institution. For the past two years, I have been visiting this restaurant in Yerevan and everything has always been great. We visited Dalan on 12/13/2024 and I was very surprised, we ordered a pork kebab and bread in a tandoor. The bread was as dry as possible and cold, in response to the claim, the waiter said that the bread was baked in the morning, so it is already hard) Well, let me know why you're working, give me some better advice, but OK. Let's move on. In an institution that I recommended to all my friends and found this place in Yerevan, they bring me a shish kebab, burnt in places, and unfinished in places, plus the meat is clearly old, it feels like I ordered a shish kebab in the basement market, and not in a good restaurant. In response to the claims, there is also ZERO reaction, as if everything is as it should be. In a word, everything became very bad. I do not know where the heads of this institution are going, but clearly you are making a mistake. Perhaps the question is seasonality, but it doesn't matter anymore. Success. Not with my foot anymore!
Very tasty, kitchen, cozy atmosphere. The staff is polite, cheerful and helpful, however, as they are almost everywhere in Yerevan where we managed to visit.
Of the minuses, only some kind of strangely high price for homemade vodka - the soup was cheaper)
The best restaurant in the center: lamb, lamb cradle, salad - everything is delicious and with a real taste of food, not seasonings. I really liked the courtyard, the service. Tour groups come to the restaurant every 5 minutes to see the old house. It was also interesting for us to look at people from different countries, in 30 minutes we counted 10 groups - a lot!
Well done! Keep it up !
Very atmospheric. There is also a courtyard for summer and many enclosed terraces and rooms for cold weather, with interiors of the 19th century. Dishes with a national touch and the price tag is quite adequate. Plus a large souvenir shop, a second opening day. We recommend it!
A very cozy place. I recommend trying the lamb, and in general everything is very tasty. We have been to this cafe many times. I really liked the cooked food. My daughter is an artist and she was very impressed with some of the paintings.
A very pleasant, atmospheric and delicious cafe.
We spent our first evening in Yerevan here with great pleasure, staying almost until closing time.
Delicious, pleasant, wonderful!
It's a great place. It is located right in the center of Yerevan, but not on the move. If you don't know or don't accidentally go to a souvenir shop, you won't find it. The staff is friendly, ready to tell you what and how. The kitchen is simply amazing, when you sit there and such aromas swirl around you that your mouth is watering - you want to sit there forever. It is located in the courtyard between the houses, part of the roof is covered with vines, the other part is covered with shields from the rain. We tried to get there three times last year, but it was always busy, we had to book in advance. This year we have already been 4 times at different times, we got there easily.
I recommend you to visit.
It's a wonderful place! Very tasty, excellent staff, good choice of food and wine. Interesting atmosphere. Very authentic. Plus the prices are more than adequate. I recommend
To all those who are planning a trip to Yerevan. Be sure to visit this restaurant! Excellent and very tasty dishes, fast delivery, magnificent interior, very polite staff.
A wonderful kitchen, an amazing place, very atmospheric, starting with the fact that the entrance is through a souvenir shop, and the smoking area has been turned into an exhibition of paintings. The best place I visited in Yerevan!
An incredibly beautiful place, with its own atmosphere and history!
The landing locations are just incredibly inspiring 😍
Very tasty cuisine and a huge selection of dishes!
For the first time in 26 years, I liked those dishes from our Armenian cuisine that I didn't like before! Fast feed, you can take very beautiful photos! Clean and tidy!
Of course, the staff is sometimes not always perfect, but in 4 out of 5 visits, we came across good waiters.
Super breakfast.
I do not know what you can do with scrambled eggs to make it so delicious!!!
Freshly baked bread, wonderful products and real hospitality.
And, of course, the atmosphere of the Yerevan courtyard in the city center.
A magical place. Very beautiful, atmospheric, delicious food, witty staff). I would advise every tourist to visit here - you will definitely not forget Yerevan and will want to return here.
I didn't have time to taste the dishes enough to express my attitude to the whole kitchen, but the scrambled eggs with apricots were cool, the pumpkin soup was also delicious, the place was so cozy in the atmosphere that I want to come back again
An amazing place, very beautiful, unusual, with its own special flavor and atmosphere. Delicious food, fast service, large portions. We traveled through Italy, decided to pass the time and were pleasantly surprised by this institution. The attentive manager helped to organize the charging for the phone and even gave a tour of this institution, it was very interesting. The only thing is that they did not immediately find the entrance, but it's great that everyone in Yerevan knows Russian 😃
The place is very attractive, especially in the evening. I did not immediately find it, fortunately the iconic ones suggested that the entrance was through the Art Gallery (souvenir shop). This is really the best barbecue in Yerevan. A portion of shish kebab is relatively medium in size, but everything else is large. Especially potatoes in Zherevensky, no one regrets)
I am very happy with the place, for a barbecue only here.
The choice of beer, however, is meager, and there are not many positions, but still there are standard bottled ones.
To sit, have lunch, roll, not to see the crowds of people and the fuss, relax in the backyard with a dovecote? Excellent lamb kebab, vegetable salad with cream sauce, these are their finest tortillas with herbs and cheese, a boat of eggplant minced meat, unconditional tender dolma..What should I say? We have to try. The service is decent. In a set of homemade tinctures, mulberry for an amateur, pear and apricot will send the young lady downhill. The proximity to the souvenir shop and the general atmosphere of Armenian sincerity will make you squish with a tourist nose - how are they? It's a great place!
One of my favorite places in Yerevan, I always bring guests here. Especially good, of course, in the warmer months - a wonderful garden. Armenian cuisine, very tasty, and very hospitable and friendly staff. If you are going to come on Friday evening or on the weekend, it is better to book a table in advance, there may not be places.
1. When entering the room, the waiter did not offer a choice (as it turned out, there were other rooms with a more pleasant view, and we were sitting near the balcony with smokers)
2. The waiter was inattentively listening to the order. They brought us an extra drink, which we refused, and then tried to convince us that we had ordered it.
3. The shish kebab consisted of a third of the burnt inedible part. The pork in the wine was more like fried meat with fat.
4. The carafe of lemonade contained crushed ice, there was no sieve — as a result, you chew ice instead of lemonade.
5. The only good thing was the salad with basturma!
During my week-long stay in Armenia, I visited this restaurant 4 times. I liked everything, because this place combines at the same time: an excellent location in the city center, an authentic interior, a varied menu with delicious local dishes and not only cuisines, a wide wine list, professional polite staff ready to coordinate you on the menu and not only. I will definitely come back.
The food is delicious, but the prices are crazy compared to Russia. mug of tea 1800dr 500r and the food is delicious. The service is good. The portions are average. Entrance is through a souvenir shop
The place is somehow attractive, cozy. We drop in from time to time. I don't really remember the food, it's ordinary. The wine is only local, but there is a large selection, just like in wine bars.
The entrance is not easy to find, it is hidden in a souvenir shop. There are no questions about food: everything is delicious, the portions are solid, the serving is fast, the prices are generally moderate. The impression was blurred by the waiter asking for tips in excess of the usual 10% for restaurants in Armenia
It is a very pleasant atmospheric restaurant, but in the last visit it was noted that the portions have decreased. The kebab was disappointing, the meat was a bit harsh, but the khachapuri in Adjarian style is on top.
It's a delicious and atmospheric place. The entrance is through the souvenir shop. I liked everything, the price tags are lower than the neighbors, and the food is much better. The wine is great too
A wonderful cafe that you will find only if you know it! Cozy firewood in the greenery, pleasant friendly atmosphere! The waiters are responsive, speak Russian 👌
