A good restaurant with an interesting cozy interior with national accents. Good live music and entertainment program.
First of all, I was interested in the observation deck, or rather the observation balcony with a beautiful view of Almaty. In the season when the balcony is open, be sure to book a table there in advance. At the end of October, the balcony was no longer serviced, but the tables were in place and, as an exception, as tourists were allowed to stay there. Thank you very much for the participation of the hostesses and waiters. Wonderful guys!
The sommelier recommended the port and served it to us himself. A good glass of Chef&Sommelier glasses for the proper opening of the drink! Another plus sign for karma and advantages for the institution

A great restaurant with stunning views of the city. A great opportunity to get acquainted with the national cuisine in a pleasant contemplation of the mountains and the city. The menu is varied, the serving is fast, everything is very tasty. The restaurant has an indoor area and an outdoor (veranda) area. On the outside there are beautiful views and a breeze (it may be cool in the evening), and inside there is live music and national dances. Not an easy choice, of course :). I will definitely visit the restaurant again if possible.

The national Kazakh restaurant Abay is located at the top of the Kok Tube at an altitude of 1100 meters right at the exit of the cable car. Since Kok Tube is one of the main attractions of the city, there are many tourists, including foreign ones. And this restaurant is popular. A terrace surrounds this hall, which was completely empty. Smoking is allowed only on the street.

Don't believe the reviews, they're purchased. Prices in the restaurant are high for Kazakhstan, while the interior and the level of service in particular leave much to be desired. We were served by a waiter of about 45 years old, who communicated with us very incorrectly, even rudely. There was a feeling, according to some people from our company, that he was drunk. The food was of medium deliciousness.

The restaurant on Kok-Tobe Mountain is a great place to relax and eat delicious food. The view from the mountain is simply amazing, especially at sunset. The food is delicious, the dishes are made with care. The staff is very friendly and always ready to help. It's nice to spend time with family or friends here. I will definitely come again!

There are only questions about the kitchen. I ordered my favorite dessert, which I eat absolutely everywhere, in different countries and I can't count how many I've tried. Still, I would like chocolate to flow from the chocolate fondue, because the dessert served already tasted like brownies, although it was served very beautifully - obviously overexposed.

Salad with beetroot and avocado - 5, everything is fresh.
Horsemeat salad - 5, lacks originality - these are pieces of warm horsemeat on lettuce leaves with a suitable sauce.
Kuyrdak trio - 5, a huge plate of three types (beef, horse meat and mutton) stew and some potatoes. A very hearty dish, I regretted that we did not take one for two. The meat is perfectly cooked, very tasty.
Kuyrdak in Kazakh - 4, beef meat and liver, I did not like the combination. Apparently, out of habit.
Kazakh tea - 5, I liked it.
The service is excellent, 15% is included in the bill.
A total of 36 thousand tenge (6 thousand rubles).

The food is delicious. I ordered a salad with eggplant in pumpkin sauce and cauldron kabob. The waiters are polite and considerate. Probably one of, if not the best place in Almaty to eat very tasty food and experience real Kazakh hospitality. The prices are above average, but believe me it's worth it! In the warmer months, I recommend booking a table on the open terrace, which offers amazing views of Almaty, Kok-Tobe and the mountains. Next to the wardrobe, you can find national costumes in which you can take very authentic photos.
