Aggressive, angry people. The mosque is marked as an architectural monument and is open to visitors. There is a carpet in front of the mosque to change shoes on. You cannot enter the mosque itself in shoes, but the carpet is located outside. That's right: on the carpet - they change shoes in mosques in Istanbul. But as soon as I took one step on this carpet, immediately some man (not an imam) jumped out from around the corner and very rudely and angrily began shouting, for some reason in English: "Don't go!!". By the way, I was dressed and covered according to the rules sufficient for a person of non-Islamic faith. It's a shame for such behavior in a holy place.
