We were at a trial session. However, due to the orange danger level, the alloy did not work.
But that didn't stop us from having a great time. We conducted an excursion, told them about the basics, taught them how to knit knots, operate a mast, and much, much more.
We will definitely return, but in more favorable weather!

She was trained to manage a sailing yacht on the Cello in the 2024 season. I had no previous yachting experience. I think that if we compare it with similar training courses (outside of professional sailing), then there are no equals in Minsk in terms of the depth of practical skills acquired. The course is designed not only to teach standard mooring patterns, sail settings, etc., but also to develop skills for working out any, including unforeseen situations on the water. And the lesson plan adapted to the initial level of students, and in the process there was an opportunity to delve into the development of specific elements that were given the most difficult. For beginners, you need to be ready to allocate a lot of time for practice, as well as for homework on theory and reflection based on worked-out situations.
The coaches, Anton and Alexandra, know their business perfectly and teach with great dedication, not only transfer practical skills, but also strive to bring up the qualities inherent in the captain - the ability to take responsibility and make quick decisions, be a leader and organize people, which is necessary not only in yachting. And another bonus is a cool community that they are building with people who are just as passionate about sailing) So if I had to re-choose the path to dive into yachting, I would come back to study the Cello.
