It's just an amazing place, every time you cross the border on different days of the week and hours, you don't know how the card will fall out, and how quickly you will pass the border. On busy days, there are 2 open windows, and sometimes you go without a queue, but at the same time 4-5 windows are open. 🤷🏼♀️
And so on the street near the border, there is a decent toilet and a good store.
Inside the checkpoint itself, the toilet most often does not work, there is no mother and child room.
But what pleases, the border guards, if they see that there are families with kids, can open another window, or skip the queue, thank them very much for that
I drove my car from Kyrgyzstan to Kazakhstan on August 22, 2022. I note the following:
1) the Kyrgyz side is a complete mess: in a car with Kyrgyz license plates, all those who apparently paid and wedged in front of the queue are driving in the oncoming lane in front of traffic cops and border guards. When I drove up from Issyk Kul 700-800 meters to the border, a queue formed. I covered this distance in 2.5 hours!!!
2) on the Kazakh side, it is not much better: they work very slowly, I was looking for a border guard myself to inspect the car. Then they were forced to go to the scanner, unload a full trunk of things, although it is clear that he was traveling from vacation with a family with young children to his home. I unloaded all my things, some of their boss was passing by, apparently, and asked why you unloaded things? I answered, and he tells me not to, load it back, looked at the car number and says it's obvious that it's home, unloading only concerns transit workers. That's the competence of border guards, young border guards are incompetent, but the fee is through the roof...
It took almost 4 hours (3 hours and 50 minutes) to do everything about everything.
In short, as the youth says, tin and sucks ... (((
