Very lazy personal. Registered our flight duribg 3 hours! Can’t open more counters to register? Dirty everywhere, a lot of trash. No information about what is prohibited in onboard luggage - they threw away my creams that are not liquids and went in industrial plastic wrap! Horrible attitude!

It is a very compact but very fast airport. Registration is very fast. The staff are great. There are small islands on departure where you can buy alcohol and perfumes at reasonable prices. There are McDonald's, Burger King and other cafes for a snack. It is only necessary to leave the local currency while waiting for the flight, as the dollar exchange rate is very inhumane compared to island exchangers.

The rest went great from December 10-20, 2024. We stayed at the Old Phuket Hotel. I liked the hotel, the room is spacious, there is a safe, a huge bathroom, a loggia overlooking the pool. The room was cleaned every day. The hotel is more suitable for family living. It was quiet and comfortable to be there. In the mornings I woke up to the singing of birds that live on the territory of the hotel. The hotel only includes breakfast, which was very convenient for us. The buffet is well-chosen for our usual meals.
The beach is good, the entry into the water is excellent. I really liked everything! I recommend it!

I can definitely say that Thais do not try to complicate the process of going through all the processes, they are generally friendly and stress-resistant, if you do not make a fuss or yell at them, all issues can be resolved through dialogue. At the reception desks, they try to strictly follow the standard, keep this in mind, you will have to pay for the excess, strictly with this. Oversized hand luggage will also be difficult to carry into the cabin.

Ehhh,,, Phuket International Airport is the place where your Thai fairy tale begins and ends, or, as I call it, "the gateway to paradise with air conditioning."
From the first steps through the terminal, you are greeted by the scent of tropical humidity, mixed with a light smell of jet lag and hope for a vacation.
Here, among the endless rows of souvenir shops selling everything from magnets to elephant pants, you realize that you already miss Thailand, even though you haven't even left the building yet.
Queues at passport control are a separate attraction where you have time to review your whole life and realize that it might have been worthwhile to charge your phone as much as possible.
But as soon as you find yourself in the departure lounge, where there are "soft chairs" and Wi-Fi, which works "almost always", you feel that this place is a real oasis of civilization in the jungle.
And so, sitting with a cup of coffee for "a few" baht, you begin to feel nostalgic for the beaches that you left just a few hours ago.
Phuket Airport is not just a terminal, it's an emotional roller coaster where you say goodbye to a paradise island, but you already dream of returning.
