I don't know which terminal we were in, we got off the plane to the second floor and the exit to the city is there. A waiting area, a couple of shops, an exchange on the ground floor. What I really liked was that there were few people in this terminal, if anyone arrived, they seemed to disappear quickly. There was always a lot of free space, you can safely go to bed, although it is not convenient because of the handles, but you still managed to sleep. We were here twice with an expectation of 8 and 12 o'clock and there was always a place to lie down and sleep. There are chairs by the window, if someone eats, they do not clean, and the furniture itself is already worn to holes.
Again, few people are a big plus, peace and quiet, not like in our Sheremetyevo.

I highly recommend that you bring a small amount of yuan with you in advance to buy a subway ticket. Or you can withdraw them at the Bank of China ATM (standing in front of the exit from the terminal) if there is a union pay. Metro tickets are purchased at the vending machine. The distances at the airport are gigantic, many catering establishments did not work on Sunday afternoon. Navigation is mediocre.

A very large-scale airport. Navigation is done average, and the staff does not understand English at all. The only person who was well-versed in English was an AirChina employee standing at the check-in desk.
Another problem is the difficulty of connecting to free wi-fi. If you do not have a friend who will give you the Internet from his Chinese SIM card, as well as a VPN service, then you are unlikely to be able to connect to the local network, since the confirmation code comes to What'sApp, which works extremely poorly in the PRC.
There are many different shops and catering establishments in Terminal 3, where it is quite sparsely populated. The department of DutyFree is large, a very good variety of products for every taste.
In general, they are a strong four.
