We had a transfer to the hotel and the exit number was indicated, however, given that almost none of the airport staff speaks English, it took a long time to find the right exit (there are 2 floors, as a result, the first level is even, the second is not even). They also know a lot. Antiseptics were withdrawn, but selectively. They say liquid is allowed, but sprays are not allowed. At the exit, you can buy a local SIM card (cash or a union pay card). There are a lot of good food and shops, if you forgot to buy something, then do it at the airport.

This is the most disgusting airport in the world... We flew in January 2025 from Moscow to Bangkok via Beijing and back. We flew there, planned to go out into the city, take a walk. We bought liquor at a duty-free store in Moscow. Luggage, 2 suitcases, was in transit. We sorted it out, got a Chinese visa, and went out into the city. When we returned, they searched us very carefully at customs. As a result, they said that you can't take the liquor with you. You can put it in your luggage, but it's not clear how to do it, and there wasn't time for it already.. As a result, we took away an open bottle in a sealed bag, with which we wanted to celebrate the arrival...
We flew back, also went out into the city, searched and probed again (this has never happened, we fly often) It's like we've just been released from prison.. A flight attendant walked on the plane with a tray of headphones, stupidly swept by like a hurricane, did not give it to anyone, had to be called. She almost threw them in my face. The food is ordinary, alcohol. We didn't drink, we didn't really want to. Of the 3 hot options, there was only one available. Upon arrival in Moscow, it turned out that one suitcase was missing. We knew that it was forbidden to put fruit, but we did not attach any importance to this, since there had never been any problems with it anywhere. They wrote a statement and went home. A few days later, they took him away and I was just stunned... They pulled out a bottle of hair spray. Moreover, he calmly flew the same way to Bangkok, back, apparently, someone needed him... Complete trash.. Keep in mind that alcohol hand spray is also taken away at customs.. I don't recommend this airport, they have some kind of game going on there... The transfer was at first 8, then 6 o'clock. By the way, Chinese New Year is more fun to celebrate in Bangkok than in Beijing). There is absolutely nothing to do at the airport, they found a Doshirak from adequate prices, brewed it right next to the toilet, there is boiling water from the tap) because they arrived early for the first time and only one stall was open from the entire airport)

I took tickets in transit through this airport, the time between flights is 5 hours... the only thing I didn't take into account was that the terminals were different , but it turns out in vain. Upon arrival, I filled out the form at the counter, joined the queue at Emigration, stood by me and the same visa-free people were sent to another queue to get a temporary permit ( day - 144 hours without a visa ) after defending myself there, I received an answer that I did not need this permission, they say, ask for a transfer to another terminal, it all took about two hours, filled out the boarding pass by hand, waited for a private bus)) I was really riding alone in it ... fortunately, there was no luggage, because people who were flying in the same way as me (transit; terminal change, less than a day) were standing at these counters, it was not clear how long it was (in short, I did not see them in the third terminal, I hope everything is OK with them))) No kidding...

No powerbanks, no lighters, no electronics, no cold/hot weapons, and the suitcase was still detained without explanation. Moreover, they refused delivery, i.e. the fact that they did not load it unreasonably is not considered their fault. (i.e. they had to go to Sheremetyevo themselves)

There is an exchanger. But I didn't use it, I just took some food with me. There are shops, a beautiful fountain and a corner for children. There are very few people and a lot of empty waiting areas where you can comfortably sleep. Hand luggage is checked very carefully. I had a blood pressure monitor and they forced me to put two finger batteries in it. Water was also not allowed. Take just an empty bottle or thermos with you, you can pour it in the waiting room.

At check-in, the apparently bribed airline manager, who knows about a separate check-in desk, forced a disabled person with a child to stand in the general queue, and sent a group of young people to a separate window, just where it turns out passengers with children and disabled people should be invited to check in for the flight. Nationalism or a corrupt scheme is up to you to decide. As a result, my daughter and I suffered in the general queue and watched as all foreigners with children were sent to the general queue, and so let's say our own to the check-in window that is designated for the disabled and passengers with children. In general, an interesting place and interesting people. We did not swear or ask for the right window) waited in the general and went to board.

My recommendations for transit if it is less than 24 hours (you will not be allowed into the city): take a rollton, a doshirak (noodles, mashed potatoes), a plastic mug, tea, coffee, a pillow (sleep on chairs) with you in your hand luggage.
