The airport staff hardly speaks Russian. I asked the employee in English: "can she help me?", to which I received a contemptuous answer that she would only talk to me in English and she did not understand Russian. All signs and announcements at the airport are exclusively in Georgian and English. Liquids can be brought on board the aircraft in containers, with almost no restrictions, they are not checked or taken away if you carry more than 100 ml. To apply for dirty free, they waited for an employee for 20 minutes, she did not come until they called the phone taped on the counter. So stock up on time and have a nice flight.

In mid-June 2024, I met my family at the airport in Tbilisi. I have never been there before, but I can say that this is a good airport and in the future I plan to use it for flights. One of the advantages is good transport accessibility (lots of parking at terminals (paid at reasonable prices), bus service, well, no one canceled a taxi). In addition, it is possible to park for free, for a short time, before reaching the airport (exits from the road leading to the airport without violating traffic rules). I left the car about 1 km away from the terminal because I did not know if it was possible to pay for parking in cash (our cards do not work there, but GEL cash is accepted) and I walked along the road along the paved sidewalk (conveniently and safely). Inside the terminals, you can exchange currency around the clock (rubles too) and purchase a SIM card with Georgian tariffs. There is a large selection, the prices are different, depending on your needs. Of the disadvantages that have become available to me, this is a very expensive coffee (compared to prices in the city), but this is the case at all airports. For this reason, I do not reduce the assessment of the port. And another big plus is the price of flights from Tbilisi. It is very different from other airports. People with a small budget can afford to fly abroad and not be left with an empty wallet. I advise you to check the prices in the directions you are interested in. You can get to Tbilisi Airport from Minsk or by car. In general, I advise based on my experience 🫒👍

The transfer zone is a real horror! If it is possible to remove all the stars, then this will reflect the competence of the staff.
I do not recommend using this airport as a transfer hub. Georgians are not moving, no one has heard about modern technologies. Everything is done manually, 100,500 employees will accompany you to your destination very slowly, meticulously and super ineffectively, before stripping you to your socks 🤣

The worst airport I've ever been to. The toilets are dirty, the gate was changed 3 times during the waiting time, but this was not announced, it was necessary to run all the time to watch the scoreboard. When the gate was already opened (late), no information about the flight appeared on it. The staff is not friendly at all. There was a feeling of some kind of fuss and inconvenience.

I arrived in Georgia for the first time, I am 22 years old, I arrive at this airport , they check me and after a while they say that I was blocked from entering Georgia for some unknown reason. The employee could not tell the reason for the refusal , he said that these were not my duties . He took me back to the plane and I returned to Moscow . I have a very negative impression of Georgia. I had a hotel booked for 4 days and the tour was bought for nothing, on arrival, plus my suitcase was still in Georgia. Don 't go there anymore .

The only pity is that after the passport control zone there are no shops, all these shops are located in the entrance area even before check-in , but, of course, when handing over luggage, it is clear that you can buy something with a volume of more than 150 ml only in the duty free zone, where there will be no inspection and there will be no restrictions on the volume of liquid . it would be great if the shops were moved to the waiting area at the boarding gate. It costs about 20 GEL to get to the airport by taxi from the city , about 30 minutes without traffic jams. upon arrival from the airport, you can get to the city by bus in one GEL, which is also very convenient, that is, take the bus to the nearest metro station, which is the final one on the line, and then take the metro to the right part of the city.

There is a stall with churchkhella bodagi before the control zone - I recommend it. If you don't have an international card, stock up on lari to buy yourself a snack and water/tea/coffee outside the control area. Duty free accepts dollars, but there is no water or food. After the control, there is an exchanger, but it is in the same place where the taxi is free, and there is a queue.

A great, compact airport! Everything is clean, bathrooms, cafes, places to wait, there is enough of everything. The only drawback is that in the waiting area for international flights, all cafes work for local lari, and there is nowhere to exchange them. Duty free works for dollars, but it is impossible to buy food there without alcoholic beverages, due to their absence. There was only Georgian lemonade, two bottles in a package at a price of $ 16!
