When I arrived, I liked the airport, it was clean and cozy, friendly staff, quickly passed passport control and everything was fine

The airport is terrible. It's small and very uncomfortable. Kids can't miss out with a toy pistol, shotgun and other weapons either. It's very dirty.

This is NOT an airport!!! The airbase is located directly in the city of Nya Trang (Mistakenly called Nichang or Nyachang), was actively used during the Vietnam War by the American Air Force, as a conveniently located base in the deep rear, with a friendly South Vietnamese population.
It is located very close to the main street, the airfield itself does not work, there is an active military unit on its territory, the passage is closed. If you are not lazy and find a checkpoint, then to the left of it behind the fence there is an exhibition of aircraft, an American helicopter, several MIG-17 (or 19, I do not know for sure) aircraft.
You can only inspect it from behind the fence.
A legendary place, I recommend visiting, even standing next to the checkpoint means to feel the history.
